Celebrity Name That Tune
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
CELEBRITY NAME THAT TUNE, an installment of the Name That Tune franchise, stars celebrities trying to win cash for charity by correctly guessing the names of songs without hearing all of the lyrics. Hosted by Jane Krakowski, it features two celebs facing off in a series of game rounds, during which they win money by correctly naming songs by only hearing a few lyrics, or a few musical notes. Randy Jackson and the Name That Tune band assist with limited music performances. The winner of the final round gets to keep the money in her/his/their pot, and plays for an additional $100K for their chosen charity in The Golden Medley. The contestant who doesn't make it gets $10K for the organization they are playing for.
Is It Any Good?
The musical challenge features a wide array of celebrities playing for charities in this lively game that's easy to enjoy. Athletes like Laurie Hernandez, singers like Toderick Hall, and actors like Melissa Peterman are all on Celebrity Name That Tune to win, but their competitive nature is exhibited in amusing ways. The musical performances, albeit brief, are entertaining, too.
