What's the Story?

Mike is mixed -- mixed race, that is, and his friends have a lot of questions about his family and how he looks. "'Your mom and dad don't match,' they say, and scratch their heads. See, my dad's a deep brown and my mom's rich cream and honey. Then people see me, and they look at us funny." As the story unfolds, we see a day in the life of Mike as he plays, hangs with friends. and shares how he's proud to be MIXED ME!

Evans' brilliant illustrations and Taye Diggs' rhythmic text. All families will fall in love with Mixed Me!, because the message of loving what makes you special is universal.
