It's ok for kids it's good you can call your family because this app is good

Skype is basically and older version of FaceTime, but there are disadvantages and advantages to the app. During a FaceTime call, you don't have a chat section, but Skype does. It's not like you'd need it if you're on a call anyway, right? Well, I always used the chat bar to goof around and send silly messages. We honestly used the chat more than we talked. Bu, Skye is very hard to get into. You have to put in names, phone numbers, and sign up. All in all, I think Syper is better than FaceTime. The connection is slower, but it brings back old memories and they are always improving it. Sad to say, but I barely use Skype anymore.

This is the best messaging app ever! The only thing is that this is NOT an app to talk to strangers. Anyone can send you a chat request, so if some stranger sends you a request, you should probably decline it. My cousins, (8 and 5 years old) and my sister, (7 years old) all love it and use it. I highly recommend this app for the whole family! :)

I think Skype is a good app, and I use it to call my friends. Just ask your parents to make you a Microsoft account, and sign in with your account on Skype when you download it. I like to use this app and I recommend it.

I am a teenager personally, I know my parents would kill me if they found me on a chatting site, but once I told them it was Skype they instantly calmed down, and we talked out the conditions which ofc was DO NOT ACCEPT REQUESTS FROM STRANGERS, that was the only term, they even use it for their Work, having to meet virtually now, (they have Work-from-Home jobs, which is honestly pretty cool. You can select if you show up in search results and the privacy settings are IMMACULATE, and I started using this at 12 and I continue using it to this very day.

It's not a good long-term app. Consider switching. Too much consumerism.

It is good to contact friends but any person can send you messages and see your full name. So you have to be very careful when you use Skype. Also if you search for people that you now there are many people by the same name.

This is a good way to chat with friends, but dont accept requests from people you dont know. You need an email though
