Intense, stupid, and above all crazy amount of fun!
Without a doubt this movie got me laughing but then at the same time, this time got me thinking how much more wild can this movie get to. I was ish looking forward to this, and I was hoping it would be as funny and stupid as some people put it to be. Well, it is funny and more than stupid (in fact, it is crazy) at times, but this movie delivers hardly any characters to actually care about. The direction of the movie was good with the cocaine bear and all that; but the dialogues and the characters are such at a weak part that this movie could be more fun if they shut up, and just let the high bear ger after them. The whole thing is messed up from the beginning to the end, and the violence is intense to points that it even shocks me! This movie is fun, it’s high, it’s stupid, the characters are boring( the dialogue is plain crappy but in the end: it’s a movie that’s high, stupid, and fun at points and a movie I don’t need to see again!

Creed III is such a solid direction to the whole Creed legacy!
What a solid, phenomenal storyline and continuing on with the Creed legacy!!! I had some doubts about this one . . . But I shouldn’t have! With Micheal B Jordan’s first debut movie and even starring in it, I have to give it to him this: it’s a strong start for him, and even a stronger building to the Creed legacy. None of the movie felt forced, but it felt all come naturally!!
With the Creed legacy continuing on, I kind of had my doubts wondering if they could continue on the legacy in a strong storyline. I mean, we had two great Creed movies, was it possible they could do another one? And Micheal B Jordan’s squish that question without any effort: he DELIVERS such a strong continuation of the Creed legacy and it’s near perfection in my eyes!
I really loved how they finally got Rocky out of Adonis’ legacy, and started making it more on Creed than ever! I mean, when Rocky was in the Creed movie it always felt overshadowed more of Rocky’s legacy then moving on with Creed’s legacy, but with Micheal B Jordan’s bold move to not add Rocky, it definitely felt like the right choice!
The character arc for Damian was quite well done! I loved the motives and intentions they added for Damian. I felt like maybe his past could have been a bit more developed and his life in prison, but overall: it was a strong character arc. Damian wanted a shot, and he would do anything to prove to the world what he started out to be: one of the world’s professional heavy-weight champion.
But we have Adonis Creed (now retired) in his way. Adonis sees that Damian is willing to go do anything to be on the top (even cheat). Adonis wants to treat Damian a lesson — that you can’t go from a nobody and just be there but that you have to work your way up there and gain respect and a reputation for yourself. It isn’t always about the glory, but the respect you get from the people.
Adonis and Damian have strong relationships in the earlier years of their lives but after an incident, it leaves Damian in slam for 18 years. This ruins chances for Damian to become what he wants, but when he comes out he’s ready to show the world what he was made to do! I love in the movie how it showed that even if Damian lose, he had nothing to lose. But Adonis made sure Damian had everything to lose!
How the boxing fight match was shot . . . cinematography at its best without any hesitation! Micheal B Jordan’s up the boxing match and change how it should be view, and it payed off in a lot of ways. Those intense hits and punches and how they were so well coordinated made the fights epic to see. There were moments I gasped, and moments I wondered who would win in the end.
What makes Adonis Creed the character he is, is that he won’t give up. That he’ll give his everything to make sure he wins in the end. It’s this that always makes me root for Adonis in not only in his boxing life but his family life! Adonis’ character arc has come a long way. He’s learned lessons from his wise mentor, Rocky, and now it is his turn to teach Damian a lesson.
I felt like the improvement I would want in this movie if the stakes for the movie were more higher bar. That’s what made Creed II be the better sequel, and I feel like with a higher bar at what it is at stake, it would have made this movie even better. But even though it isn’t in that, it still a phenomenal movie that delivers not only a strong storyline but some emotional moments also. Creed has always been a movie about love and family in a boxing movie. It’s what holds this live so strongly!
At the end of the day, Creed III delivers another strong storyline that with hardly any fault, it teaches a life lesson and it shows that you can’t always hide from your past. Creed III hold everything together so nicely, that nothing in the movie feels out of place; it truly is Micheal B Jordan’s debut movie!!!

It is One Big Dramatization On Not Only the Religion but the Event!
I decided to not write this long review on my website but plainly here because I feel like I have a lot to say about this movie! First off before I go ranting in this review, if you get anything out of this review get this: Christianity plot made under a Hollywood brand doesn’t work that well! (Looking at you, Lionsgate 👀)
Hollywood is known for big-budget movies, and this movie didn’t have that vibe, but it did bring a Hollywood vibe to the film. It felt never like the truth faith of Christianity that I know, but more like a dramatization of it. And for me it doesn’t work. Like, look: I am a Christian, and let me tell you, you don’t have to make Christianity a dramatized thing — tell it through true eyes. It doesn’t always have to be big and bold and literally at your eyes! Christianity is a humble religion to always seek Jesus every day of our lives! So when I was watching this, it felt played out to a dramatic standard that it just gave me the Hollywood Vibes. If you want to tell an effective Christian movie, go to humble beginnings and you don’t need to dramatize it!
A big thing I struggled with this movie was how drawn out it felt! There were lots of moments that could have been taken out. The trailer lied to me. I thought this movie was about a Church accepting the Hippies (that me what the trailers told me); I mean, it’s somewhat that, but that isn’t the big thing! It’s really threesome-story on Greg, Lonnie, and Chuck and the big movement of the Hippies becoming Christians in the 1970s in California. Told through 3 people, it felt long, drawn out, and event to an extent: extended. I felt like Greg’s story arc was needed, but yet I question, was it needed? Between me and you, I’m leaning on, take Greg out of the picture, and it’s even a more solid movie — but sadly, we can’t because this movie is based on a true story.
There were moments in this movie that made me question the direction of it. For one, Lonnie actually healing people? That right there felt like a lot of Hollywood vibes to me. I’m not saying it’s not possible we can’t heal people through the Power of God, but Lonnie to an extent was using it for show (and I feel like the movie kind of points it out) instead of purpose of God. I mean he isn’t perfect, granted, but to what extent was fiction and what wasn’t? It makes me question if they just wanted those moments to dramatize this film more — really a bit unnecessary!
A lot of the sweet, nice moments really landed a bit flat with me. The reason why was because a lot of this movie wasn’t working for me. This movie felt like one big Hollywood-Dramatized movement of not only the real event but also of Christianity. And also, how many on that set were actually believers of Christ? It bugs me to think that a non-believer played a believer role. I mean, what does that person really know about the Christian walk? He/She can pretend to believe for the movie just to know what they’re getting out of it, money.
It sounds like a lot of dislikes for this movie, but it wasn’t that I didn’t enjoy it. It had it’s touching moments for me, and I was watching the whole thing. It felt like it knew what it was doing, but it also felt like one big dramatization on the Christian belief. It never felt like an insult to me (it becomes one when it blasphemes God’s Word), but it felt not under the true passion of the Christianity is!
At times, it felt like another movie you’ve seen before! The romance in here was so predictable you could have seen it a mile away. They use the same formula for romance as really any Hollywood movie that wants something sad, but yet in the end, uplifting and happy. This movie wasn’t going for the romance, but I felt like it had a bigger play in the movie than it should have! And also going to honest with you : it feels like just another Christian movie that had its good moments, but feels really divert to actually bringing Jesus to the picture! Sure the movie was all about Him, but it felt diverted in a sense from Him that this could pass under a straight drama film with romance and a few religion moments scattered throughout!
Overall, this movie had its moments for me, but falling very flat on trying to reflect the Christian religion in the best light — it felt like one big dramatization of not only the religion but the event. It’s another Hollywood-Christian movie that really you could ask yourself, “Does it count for being a Christian movie?”

A boring, lame horror violence isn't as extreme as some people make it out to be!
Going back when I first saw the trailer, I actually coming to think that its a bi misleading. After watching the trailer for this movie and actually only seeing the trailer once, I thought it would be this great disturbing, violent scary horror movie. But after watching it, yes it was violent and disturbing but at the same time, I thought it would be more extreme than what it actually turned out to be (Terrifier 2 was far more extreme than what I saw in this movie). And I heard bad things about the sexaul content, hearing that it was also to like the extreme, but it turned out to be a hallucination of an orgy that didn't go too into graphic detail and a now & then some nude people, but that was really it. I mean, the Wolf of Wall Street sexaul/nude content was on a higher scale! So this movie didn't get me off guard on really anything on how "extreme" the violence and sexaul, nude content had in it!
In the orignal cut of this movie, which would have earned the rating of NC-17, it has James doing a penis ejaculating with hand stimulation. Although this is shown in the R-rated cut, it isn't shown right up front to the most graphic content. We know it's happening due because of semen falling onto the floor. This scene is so not-needed. It literally adds no storyline to the movie, and it is really unnneeded. Why it was even needed in the R-rated cut baffles me. And I'm actually wondering why the director added also an orgy scene that was long but nothing too explicit . . . just knowing what they were doing is how explicit it got. It's these kind of moves that the director added that makes me question the direction of the film. I mean, you delete those scenes out and it's pretty alright without them.
This movie really has an interesting plot, but how it's executed is how it got me turned away from the movie. It doesn't balance out anything and even the theme/plot of the movie gets lost in all that's happening. I mean this isn't a movie with a lot happening, but this is a movie that needed a lot of explantion on the depth of the movie and the plot. It just kind of felt it was going with you just figuring out what was happening. Because I promise you, I got lost in the film more than once and by the end of the movie . . . I was wondering what was the main theme being exploited in the end. It just is frustrating to watch a movie that has little to no explantion and at the end of the movie you have to rely on someone's guesses on what the theme of the movie was than what you think it was because you got confused and lost during the film.
Overall, this film has low character building is low. The plot and themes of the movie gets lost, confused, and muddled down in the end. The violence and sexaul cotent are R-rated yes, but not extreme. And really, the only good part about this was Mia Goth's acting . . . she carried the whole movie on her back, but in the end, it wasn't enough to redeem this movie on how low it fell and how bad it turned out!

A disappointing action-flick may be entertaining, but it's too weak to even get past the drudgery plot.
This movie is just another action-flick movie with nothing up its sleeve to make it more interesting or shocking or even actually worth watching. I remember seeing some trialers for this, and thinking it was another sruvival story, but after reading the plot it was a bit off. Anyway, this movie struggles to actually make it worth watching, but it does keep some of your interest throughout the movie!
Commercial pilot Brodie Torrance makes a successful emergency landing after his plane sustains critical damage from a storm. He soon realizes that the island he's landed on is Jolo, a remote area of the Philippines ruled by heavily armed anti-government militias.
Gerald Butler is known for playiny in action flick movies, and the last movie I saw him in (Angel Has Fallen) he didn't make much of an impression on me. So when going into this movie, I was mainly going in mainly for the action than who was playing in it. And let me just say, it had my interest through some of the movie but other times it was losing my interest. I think the most tense moments where when someone had a gun to their head, and the final take off moment with the plane. But besides that, I felt very impassive toward this movie. I had little emotions for this movie even though I enjoy action films (if it's done right).
This movie uses the same formula for every action flick. It's starts out introducing the main characters, and then we get into the nice action moments. But for this movie, it never had a build up to the final moment. This movie just happened on its own pace with no build up. We had the plane crash, people taking hostage, and the final gun showdown moment. But it wasn't a build up to anything. If anything, it just flowed smoothly with nothing to really look foward to the end except a happy ending.
This movie knew what it was doing alright. The plot was simple enough, and the characters were okay to watch. There wasn't any character build-up, and I still am confused why those terroists wanted the poeple's passports. And also, the ending: why did the black man want to run away with half a million dollars because in my eyes: he more than he redeemed himself. This movie wasn't frustrating to watch . . . it just had a lot of unansewered questions that didn't make this movie complete in its storytelling.
As much as the situation could actually happen, it's just too fictionalous to actually happen in my eyes. This movie derives from the simple plot and the same action formula every action-flick movie has. It isn't supported much besides the action, shoot-out moments and some good tense moments because this movie didn't feel complete in its sotrytelling. Plus, this movie never picked up its drawling pace besides getting into the action moments. It felt bland and something I would see if I didn't want to think too much.
Overall, this movie strived to be this nice action, thriller movie but for me it failed not only in being a bit more action-packed and intense but lacking in its storytelling. There wasn't any build up to the final moment, and the characters are alright to watch. None of the people in the movie really got any of my sympathy because they sure had a lot of complaining to do in that movie. Overall, this action-flick movie succeeded in entertaining some parts of the movie but in the end, it lacked in more than one way!

A solid entry to the 4th John Wick movie series!
Me and some friends went to see this and we had ass grins on our faces at the end of the movie. This was a movie that I couldn’t forget what I saw in 2 months or even 2 years later! I remember setting a high bar for this movie, and man did this movie deliver more than what I was setting/expecting!!
The John Wick series starts out simple, but as each movie progresses forward we get even more depth into the second world Wick lived, and the fourth movie just delivered some amazing things about the High Table! It may not have gone into a stronger narrative that I wanted, but it did not matter because in the end we had Bill Skarsgård playing the high leader of the High Table and man did he deliver his role amazingly!!
The best part of this movie was listening to one of my friends say, “This man is superman!” Actually just kidding, but it was funny to hear him say that! But the best part was Wick’s relentless kill scenes over & over again! I mean, it was non-stop and somehow I never got bored of it or tired, but I was like in my mind, “give me more!”
About 75% of the movie I had a smile on that was seen more than in Top Gun: Maverick and a lot more in Ambulance, but this movie . . . this movie had the most smiles from me! I couldn’t control it, and I LOVED IT! And one of the best actors in the movie second to Bill Skarsgård was Donnie Yen as Caine. And he nailed his role! And of course Keanu Reeves couldn’t be stopped — he kept on going and going no matter what!
And not only that, but I saw this masterpiece movie in IMAX!! It was epic for your seat to vibrate every time a gunshot happened or any loud noises happened. It was loud, very vivid, every detail you could notice, and the noise was crisp and clear! It was such an experience, that I just said this at the end of the movie, “best movie experience in my life!”
There are a lot of scenes I could discuss, but I don’t want to mark this as a spoiler, so I can’t but trust me: every damn action scene/kill was cinema. There is nothing compared to it, and technically speaking Keanu is the better one in action film with we were comparing Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves! A masterpiece movie/experience that this movie easily delivered everything I wanted and a lot more!!

For being a standalone movie, it's okay; for setting up Phase 5, it does an epic job!
Let's start out with this, I had no big expectations for this Marvel film like I did with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and there was a reason why. I wasn't expecting much from this movie, plus I wasn't a big Ant-Man fan to even begin with . . . the previous Ant-Man movies didn't leave much lasting impressions on me, and I was meh about the whole series and the superhero in genreal. So when I heard that this movie was coming out, well of course I was going to see it opening weekend just so I could be on top of the game of seeing it, and not being ruined by the movie. I wasn't seeing this because I was really interested into it . . . not really, anyhow. But after watching this movie twice in theaters the same day, I can say this: it falls short of what I was hoping it would be, but it deliver a solid set up for Phase 5!
I'm not really into the Multiverse, Time Variants, and the Quantum Realm because they just make not only my heard hurt just thinking too much of them, but it makes the MCU timeline even more confusing (than it should be). So to begin with, I wasn't into the Quantum Realm so I could care less if they explored it or not, or if they got trapped in it or not. It was just another big expansion on the MCU side just to get more revenue in, is how I see it. But after watching this movie, I guess you could say it got me to enjoy the Quantum Realm a tad bit better, and fully appreciate all the bright visuals and colors they did to make the Quantum come alive. I mean, beautiful world an all, but I could still care less.
This movie sets up not only Phase 5 very well, but the villain for it quite amazingly! If you're like me, you could agree that Phase 4 was a very weak and if I'm going to be honest, a bit unneeded Phase. The only two movies that carried the whole Phase 4 on its back was Spider-Man: No Way Home and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. No other mentionable movie that was released during Phase 4 made the best impression (although: Doctor Strange 2 could make it). So after an exhaustable Phase 4, we finally move on to I hope a better Phase, Phase 5. Now look, if Marvel/Disney does this right, Phase 5 could be the most interesting Phase since Phase 3!
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania by itself was a decent, average movie that had its moments while also having their cringy moments also. But for the beginning/start-up of Phase 5, not going to lie: it sets up Phase 5 very well. We get introduced to not exactly the most menacing/mean villain of all time, but it's the powers he has and its the other variants of him that just may make Phase 5 villain(s) the most interesting to watch . . . to see how Marvel and Disney unfolds his intentions, his powers, and the affect he'll have in the MCU timeline (that is, if they do it right of course). Kang was an interesting villian in this movie . . . he was played by a Johnathon Majors who actually did a great job, so I'm excited to see more of him in later Marvel films. Johnathon Majors has potential in the MCU, and if Marvel and Disney does it right, it may just be the biggest role Johnathon has played in his movie career . . . or it could be the somewhat of a downfall, just depending on how Marvel and Disney plays out Kang.
But Ant-Man just being a standalone movie in its series does farily alright. I think the beginning struggled to catch my attention. I think the first time watching it I was just waiting for Kang to appear on the screen, and kind of caring less of what playing at the moment. People/Critics alike raved about Johnathon Majors' performance, so of course I wanted to see if hey did actually a good job . . . and after watching it, I think he did a great job! But this movie has some interesting points that they brought to the table; maybe I could have taken the whole thing serisously if the 3rd act of the movie didn't just go a bit out of hand. I felt like the 3rd act of the movie was the downfall of the movie. It's just got a bit out of hand and that cringy speech in that movie didn't help at the least.
The 1st and 2nd act were interesting enough, but my favorite moments were when we were trying to understand the villian Kang a bit more. He was easily the best part about the movie, and outshadowing everyone's elses role in the movie, and not lying here. He's just a villian we have never gotten before, so I'm interested on how they're going to handle Kang, and he might be one of my favorite villians that has been brought to big screen. The other characters in the movie that weren't main characters like Scott and Hope, were more or less so unmemorable and they were in the shawdows in a lot of the movie. So basically, any characters in the movie that didn't have a big role were sidelined people who were underused in the movie.
M.O.D.O.K. was the worst character in the movie and also one of the most unneeded too. I struggled to comprehend/digest him fully, and to be honest I could really care less about him. He wasn't an annoying character, he was just one that made me question why we even have him in the movie to begin with. But besides that character, this movie undergoes a lot of underused characters, and more or less put them in the shadows. Really unfortunate that we didn't get to understand these people in the Quantman Realm more.
Besides some questionable choices for the movie, a cringy speech, a 3rd act getting a bit out of hand, characters being underused, and a character not needed, this movie is a bit solid. For being a standalone Ant-Man movie it was okay, but for setting up Phase 5 and its villian, it did a great job! It was a movie that I enjoyed more on my secondtime and understood more. It's not I would want to see over and over, but it's one that I'm glad I saw how they setted up Phase 5!

It might not live up to the hypness, but it does deliver a strong performance!
There were a lot of similiar situations/themes in this movie and the movie Elvis. And I guess that bugged me a lot on how similar the themes/situations were from Elvis. Because as much as this was decent enough to see, it was just hard for me to watch this movie knowing what would happen and how similiar it was with Elvis.
I do have to give to this movie is how much I learned about Whitney Houston . . . going into this film I knew absouletly nothing about her, but this movie gave me a deep enough insight about her personal life, and her rise to fame and her fall to rehab. I don't know much about her, so I don't know how accruate enough it was, but for me it felt quite accurate through my views, and the actress who played her did such a great job. There were a few things that surprised me in Houston's life that took me a-back just a bit. But finding out the life Whitney lived was interesting enough to keep me still watching!
The most frustrating part about this movie (and I've already mentioned this before), is how similiar/familiar this movie is to Elvis. So when I found that out, I pretty much knew the basics that Whitney was going to do! She took plenty of drugs, she had a finiancial matter to deal with, a divorce, etc. Pretty much, the only difference from the two movies is the gender . . . besides that, if you watch one, then you pretty much know the other story. It just got me frustrated even knowing this was Whitney's life, and the directors couldn't change it too much even if they could!
I loved Elvis editing . . . it was something unique, and something I don't see much. But this editing, quite the basic. I would have thought they would have done some unique editing to the film, but it's quite basic and plain for such a well-known singer. And I pretty much knew the story for her life . . . and it's played out in 3-parts:
Part 1: Rise to Fame | Part 2: Glory and Fame | Part 3: The Fall |
So pretty much, you could take this 3-parter in any movie based on famous people because every single famous person has one thing related to each other -- their rise, their good days, and of course their fall. I mean, I wish it wasn't that predictable, but it is how it is!
Overall, this movie had some good moments, and I learned a lot about Ii that it didn't feel too boggled down by the lame editing, predictable plot, and similiar/familiar themes from Elvis. It's not a movie I would be dying to see again, but it's one I could see now & then just to refresh my memories on Houston's life!
