Slowly became better than V
It started out a rather barren game compared to V, but the extra DLC and continued updates have made it the superior game; I expect when the third DLC comes out, it will be the best in the series.
One thing to note compared to V is that it has much better base mechanics, and makes better use of the new tile system, but there may be concerns with privacy due to 2k. As well, the cultural policies have shifted pretty far into consumerist land compared to V.

Like Civ V in space
Has great mechanics and a great premise, but has many of the same problems as Civ V where it just feels like something's missing, especially in the midgame, and its adoption of policy trees like Civ V is I'd say one of the greatest mistakes in its design. As well, whereas the civilization games have gone down a path of really ignoring atrocities, this game lets you do some messed up stuff to your populace (or fight those who do), which does help a little in flavor, but in the end, it's a lot of throwing balls of ships at each other while playing Star Trek brueaucracy sim.

Fails to live up to Alpha Centauri despite amazing base
Essentially, they put Civ V in space and somehow made everything so much blander. It's like they became afraid of the extremes of Alpha Centauri or the ability to design units, so they just made some three-way choices and bland leaders and called it a day. It had a lot of potential, but it's really in the end a let down.

So bizarre it's charming
This is a "so bad it's good" movie for adults, and might keep kids entertained simply because things are always happening.
At its core, it takes the Noah story and somewhat shoves Noah aside with talking anthropomorphic animals to focus on the story of a young, vain, and horny king lion learning to become a real leader with the help of a smart replacement love interest. It almost works, but the human parts tend to fall flat and the animal parts tend to go to extreme tangents a bit long.
As well, don't be fooled into thinking it's very religious, it's more akin to Ice Age with a bit of God on the side to drive the plot.
I must note this review is for the uncut version, not the later cut version available on DVD. The main difference is the inclusion of some more sexual parts, and I think it's actually better with them, as without it would be quite boring, if more appropriate for younger children.
Certain parts are rather sexual and the humor is crass.
At one point, the king lion and his original lover are heavily implied to be having sex based on a character's reaction and the way they're seen after a cut to them. There's a few instances of very shapely anthropomorphic females dancing suggestive as well.
There's a lot of toilet and butt humor, including several instances of small animals going up the butts of larger ones, to the point that a character even dies presumably either from being up one, or from drowning.
Similarly, on grossouts, there's a bit where some characters end up in a pile of rotting garbage (and presumably poop) that is disturbingly better animated than everything else.

Good ideas, but many problems
Not the best Sid Meier game, but certainly not bad, its new tile system is a great improvement, but it can tend to be very all-or-nothing and get boring, especially in the later game. Strategy can also be very cheesy.

One of the more emotional Pokemon movies
The focus of the movie is prevailing against those who would abuse nature, and it has great characters supporting that. Might be a bit scary towards the end, but it's well worth it.
