A Fan and a Father
I have read the book every year since I was 15, I was keyed up and had high expectations for this film. After watching it in the theatre and letting it soak in a bit, I actually cried on the way home from the theatre. They did it. They adapted the book that was impossible to adapt. It is certainly a bit heady and probably for more mature audiences. There is violence and fighting but there is no blood or gore. The only troublesome part for family viewing in my opinion is some brief disturbing imagery.
