Great show, complex themes
When we discovered Kipo we binged the first two seasons in a week. My 7 year old son was obsessed, he's rewatched it several times since and devoured season 3 when it came out. It's rare to find a kids show with such complex messages and characters. The best comparison I can find is The Last Airbender (the show, not the movie).
Some of the themes were too complex for my 6 year old though. She liked some parts of the show, but in general too much went over her head. I would say 7 is probably a good age to begin watching the show. For your older kids though, Kipo is a great role model. Her optimism and refusal to give up even in tough situations are characteristics I love seeing modeled for my kids.

Great fun, but too much focus on the mean girls
My 6 year old daughter LOVES this show. She's watched the first two seasons so far, and only hasn't made it farther because she insists on rewatching episodes so many times. Mildred is a great role model for her. She's determined to do the right thing (even if she sometimes goes about it the wrong way), and she's got great friends. The storylines are simple enough for her to enjoy, but engaging enough that I really enjoy watching the show with her.
My only hang up about the show is the focus on the mean girl. Though they try to make her a complex character, most of her scenes just involve her being mean to Mildred with very little provocation. Older kids will likely understand that she's the antagonist and not to be copied, but at 6 my daughter sometimes copies things she hears Ethel say.

Best show we've seen in a while!
While we've been stuck at home due to weather and COVID, this show has been a bright spot. My 6 year old daughter and 7 year old son loved it, and I enjoyed watching it with them! It's fun, clever enough to keep us interested, and the relationships between the characters are great. Though there is a "mean girl" character, the show doesn't spend a lot of time focusing on her, which is refreshing for a kids show with a female main character.

Engaging beginning chapter books for young readers
We read Mercy Watson originally as part of our homeschool curriculum, but it has become on of our favorite books. All five of the books in the series are funny stories with characters that by the end of the series feel like your own neighbors. My 6 and 7 year old kids constantly request this at bedtime, and I enjoy them as well. Definitely a series I would recommend for early elementary school!
