Violence & Scariness
a little
There are few scares, though the tone can be spooky; there's a description of the "Solstice Slasher," a monster with big teeth and claws rumored to threaten the forest. Characters are zombies and werewolves, but they're not really scary here.

These shorts are too brief for any major messages to get through, but characters use teamwork and have a fun friendship. The Zombies franchise is all about accepting differences and finding common ground.
Positive Role Models
a little
Characters play pranks on each other but it's all in fun.
Diverse Representations
a little
Skin colors vary and a character presents as Black. Black and Asian actors are part of the voice cast.
Parents need to know that Zombies: The Re-Animated Series Shorts is a collection of animated shorts based on the characters from Disney's Zombies films. They're a precursor to a full-length animated show, but each three-minute short contains a brief story featuring Zed (voiced by Milo Manheim), Addison (Meg Donnelly), and their friends. There are few scares, though the tone can be spooky; there's a description of the "Solstice Slasher," a monster with big teeth and claws rumored to threaten the forest. Characters are zombies and werewolves, but they're not really scary here.

What's the Story?
Favorite characters from the Zombies series of movies and shows have adventures in these short tales. From preparing for a summer solstice celebration, to learning what it might be like if summer lasted forever (with a song, of course), Zed, Addison, and their supernatural friends find fun wherever they go.
These little tidbits of content should please Zombies fans, but they're not super substantial. The animation in Zombies: The Re-Animated Series Shorts is colorful and lively, and it's nice to have the movies' stars voicing their characters here. For kids who can't get enough of Zed and Addison, these shorts are a fun treat to tide them over until the next big movie.
