Kids who like other preschool rescue team shows (a la PAW Patrol or Mighty Express) will enjoy this positive band of chicken adventurers as well. The self-centered Little Boo character is a great foil to more responsible older siblings Sweetie and Coop. Preschoolers will find Boo's antics hilarious (and hopefully realize that his more altruistic siblings are better role models). Kids will like the fast-paced adventures and seeing the cool rescue chickens' impressive acrobatics and gadgets. They'll also love the super cute animals and fun musical interludes in each episode.

Grown-ups will appreciate that the chickens' many failures make them relatable and give kid viewers concrete examples of better problem-solving strategies to use in their own lives. On the negative side, grown-ups might find The Chicken Squad a bit repetitive. The show doesn't exactly cover new preschool TV plot territory, and the most interesting character (Little Boo) feels a lot like a chicken version of Dash from The Incredibles. Preschoolers won't be as critical, making this show a solid pick to help kids learn social-emotional skills like teamwork and problem-solving.
