Terror Tuesday: Extreme
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
Thailand is home to a popular radio show where listeners call in and spin spooky tales on-air, and TERROR TUESDAY: EXTREME is the scripted television series inspired by these stories. Each episode has a different cast and a new storyline (cursed wedding dresses, haunted dolls, and so on), with varying levels of tension and violence.
Is It Any Good?
Each episode of this horror anthology is different, so if one doesn't strike your fancy, maybe the next will. The jump scares are effective but feel cheap, and the storylines are not exactly inspired. The novelty factor of this series being inspired by ghost stories told by real people is kind of fun, but nowhere near interesting enough to make sitting through the whole thing worthwhile.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about anthology-style television shows. Is there something about this format that works especially well for the horror genre? Do you have any favorite anthology shows or episodes?
Terror Tuesday: Extreme is based on stories from a popular call-in radio show in Thailand. Can you think of any other types of media (a podcast, a comic book) you'd like to see turned into a TV series?
