Fans of K-Drama can expect a fair share of twists and social intersections that play upon each other as a series unfolds. Snowdrop is no exception to the rule. Characters -- and their families and friends -- number in the dozens, so you know there'll be subplots a-plenty. Which is what keeps you coming back. Will the minor character who lives in the dorm, but isn't a student, get her man? Will the wife of the ambitious older politician wreak her revenge? Pass the microwave popcorn.

This show has faced controversy in its native South Korea for portraying a politically sensitive time period when alliances were being made, protestors were getting tear-gassed, and spies were haunting unlikely places -- like girls' dorms in universities. Teens who love K-pop will thrill at Jisoo's portrayal of an innocent college student who gets sucked into a political maelstrom. The steamy glances with her fugitive love interest, the lingering hugs, and the bike rides will please teens looking for some romance, while adults can get swept into the thrilling political tension. Sure, you might have to take notes to keep track of who's on whose side, but it's gonna be worth it.
