What's the Story?

PATTI STANGER: THE MATCHMAKER is an unscripted dating series designed to help regular folks struggling to find the loves of their lives. Sixteen years after the launch of her TV series Millionaire Matchmaker (2008-2016), Patti Stanger is now taking on less wealthy clients who are looking for long-term monogamous relationships. In each episode, along with former The Bachelor cast member and podcaster Nick Viall, she meets two separate clients to discuss what they each need and desire in a partner. After Stanger and Viall choose potentially compatible people from their pool of candidates to match them up with, they offer each client some guidance on how to behave in the contemporary dating world. Then each client is sent out on a date in hope of making a connection.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say: Not yet rated
Kids say: Not yet rated

The predictable unscripted series features folks turning to relationship expert Patti Stanger for help as they try to find partners in the contemporary dating world. While not millionaires, Stanger's good-looking and upper-middle-class clients include cast members from unscripted shows like The Bachelorette and Shahs of Sunset, and even a few B-list movie actors. Stanger still offers her clients blunt, and sometimes crude, guidance on dating rituals ranging from carrying on a casual conversation to performing better in bed. Some folks may hope to get some helpful tips on navigating the dating world, but most of what Patti Stanger: The Matchmaker offers is pretty superficial, and is really designed to be more entertaining than helpful.
