Eh

There are discussions about romantic relationships in this cartoon which are more appropriate for older kids. Also there is a same sex couple in this cartoon and they kiss.

On my tv this shows up for age 7 and up. It is definitely for older kids. The concept is someone trying to kill the group from previous seasons using dinosaurs. They don’t directly show people being eaten but it’s obvious that is what is happening. There is one character that is a super creepy looking robot chucky character. Definitely more mature themes. Two of the girls are in a relationship and kiss multiple times.

disappointed.

I’m disappointed in common sense media for not listing that this show has a same sex relationship featured as a major plot point. I’m also disappointed in this show. My 8 year old has been obsessed with dinosaurs and Jurassic park for so long so naturally he was excited for this show, but we were disappointed with the direction the show took. leave adult concepts out of shows for children.

I just don't understand the necessity of Disney and others of always wanting to portray same sex relationships in cartoons for KIDS in order to look inclusive. Let's leave the children's shows without any of this, they will grow up and decide for themselves who they want to love but let them be children without your agendas!

Camp Creepy!

CONTAINS SPOILERS Having watched the original series countless times, my 8.5 year old and I have had a date planned to binge this series since it was announced. He, who is sophisticated enough to predict the end reveal, re: Brooklynn based on the actor they recast, was completely undone by episode 5 and stopped watching. Thematically, this series is more mature than the original; the story has grown up along with the characters. It’s smart, emotionally true, and unafraid to deal with the fallout from all the trauma these now young adults have lived through. With the raised emotional stakes come some changes to the style of the show— the sound, the use of closeups and the animation itself combine to make it quite intense. For instance, Kenji’s dad is killed in front of him, and while we don’t see the moment, the shot is a close up of Kenji’s face watching his father being eaten and a horrific crunching sound. Moments before that, the show introduced a new protagonist who is a thing of nightmares. My son got a 10 second look at her and lost it. She’s so creepy that you can’t even quite explain it. Uncanny valley, maybe? The stuff of grade school nightmares, in any case. I’m going to finish binging it when he’s not home.

Mediocre fear mongering show. Gore for children?

I (17 year old male) was passively watching this show with my younger sister (7), and couldn’t help but notice how awful it is. She isn’t going to be watching it again. There’s a scene where a character dies, and just the screaming off screen during her death is enough to make me think it is not fitting for kids her age, even though it is rated for them. but then, the camera makes a pan revealing a huge splatter of blood all over the ground and police sirens filling the screen while the male worker who was hearing the screams of this woman’s death cries over the blood. The rest of the episode was just needless jarring Content built to keep kids immersed with nervousness and anxiety. Don’t let your kids watch it, it doesn’t really have any value, especially compared to other better shows. but if they absolutely must, then wait until they are at least 11.

Same sex couple scene

I'm disappointed in Common sense media for not listing that this show contains same sex relationship, disappointing for previuos followers of the series. Too Intense for young kids

Watched this as a family, kids ages 10-15. *SPOILERS* There are multiple suspenseful scenes that make the watcher jump. While you don’t see the dinosaurs actually eat the humans, you know they are based on gory sounds and the main character’s expressions watching it happen. Sometimes you also see the dinosaur’s hovered over what was a body, but their head is covered so you don’t see the entire thing. There is blood left at the scene and before anyone has a chance to grasp what happened, another dinosaur is lurking and/or charging at them. There is a new character introduced that is horrifying- even I might have nightmares about their creepy robotic movements, piercing eyes, doll-like simularities and eerie raptor whistle. My 10 year old covered her face multiple times and refused to watch scenes with the raptor trainer. The characters are young adults now, so their relationships have progressed. They explain their feelings and emotions more maturely, touching base on depression, anxiety, PTSD and love. They vaguely discuss being in romantic relationships, female characters Yaz and Sammy kiss more than once however their relationship is sweet and all characters hug lovingly. If you’re a fan of the characters and story, this is very entertaining and a worthy binge, but the Y7 rating seems off as each episode is very fast paced and makes for an intense watch on the edge of your seat.

Not for little kids

My 9-year-old daughter got scared and started crying. Some romance that kids should not be exposed to at that age. There was violence in each episode( people getting eaten to blood). It was also dark when one of the characters died supposedly by getting heated a puddle of blood was shown on the floor. My daughter was so scared that I recommended 12 or 13 and up.
