Getting people to do fun or silly things while in a hypnotic state is humorous and harmless as long as it is done for fun and with the people's consent. It also supports the idea that it's ok to relinquish self control in exchange for money.

Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Hypnotize Me is an adaptation of a popular British game show that features people competing in task-driven challenges while hypnotized. There's some sexual innuendo, potty humor, and challenges in which people appear in various stages of undress (though no nudity is shown). People in entranced states are told of impending violent events, and act accordingly. It's all meant to be funny, and promotes the skills of entertainment hypnotist Keith Barry. However, chances are that some viewers will view the events with a fair share of skepticism.

Want to laugh. Watch this show. I hope it stays on the air. Its good to have humour and laugh in this time of having a lot of awful things happening in this world
What's the Story?
Based on the British series of the same name, HYPNOTIZE ME is a game show that features a team of people who are hypnotized and asked to complete tasks for money. Hosted by Taye Diggs, each episode introduces a team of four individuals who, prior to the start of the show, was hypnotized by renowned hypnotist Keith Barry. Under Barry's direction, they're then asked to complete simple tasks on stage while in an entranced state. The team wins money for every task they complete. The catch? Barry also directs them to engage in behaviors that will make them act differently than they normally would -- and do things that can potentially sabotage their chances of winning any cash.
This zany, unpredictable series features players who willingly give up complete control of themselves, and risk embarrassment, in hopes of winning money. Resident hypnotist Keith Barry sets them up for each scenario in a way that will guarantee awkwardness or even chaos. However, it's the individual participants' unexpected behaviors while hypnotized that create lots of the humor. But while some viewers may believe that the players aren't aware of what they are doing, skeptics will find little to change their minds about the validity of Barry's talents. Nonetheless, Hypnotize Me is entertaining, if not believable, for everyone.
