What's the Story?

Morgane (Audrey Fleurot) has an IQ of 160, making her an HIP: HIGH INTELLECTUAL POTENTIAL. With three kids and both fathers out of the house, Morgane spends graveyard shifts as a cleaner trying to make ends meet. But when she tampers with a case while cleaning a police station, Morgane is taken in as a suspect. She correctly analyzes their evidence and uncovers a dead-end, giving police chief Céline Hazan (Marie Denarnaud) hope and detective Adam Karadec (Mehdi Nebbou) a headache. After solving the case, Hazan offers Morgane a consultant position with the police, clashing with Morgane's distaste for authority. But with better pay and access, can Morgane swallow her pride long enough to solve a case of her own?

In a sea saturated with crime procedurals, this series is fast-paced and intriguing. HIP: High Intellectual Potential is clever, cunning, and creative. Morgane is a sharp, quirky, multilayered character and Audrey Fleurot portrays her idiosyncrasies very well. The language and violence makes this suitable for teens.
