Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
Officer Wu-Ming Han (Greg Han Hsu) is back at the GG PRECINCT. After getting shot in a hostage situation, Wu is ready to be rewarded with a promotion for his sacrifice. What's even more perfect is there's a vacancy for captain after the old one moves up to chief (Nien-Hsien Ma.) But when the position to Lin Tzu-ching (Gingle Wang), Wu is furious that a traitor -- and a woman -- is his boss. There's no time to adjust as a case is called in, where victims are murdered, and their bodies are positioned into scenes that allude to an idiom. More bodies turn up, and the detectives must lean on the Idiom Killer Shui Yuan (Chih-Yuan Tai), as they find themselves chasing after a copycat killer.
Is It Any Good?
This series smashes a lot of elements into an action-packed, supernatural, violent, and offensive crime mystery. GG Precinct is quirky, quick, and crass. The characters are unique and absurd, which gives shape to this surreal world they live in. There are harmful stereotypes and offensive jokes that can fall flat at times. The violence, scary images, and language makes this suitable only for older teens.
