What's the Story?
FROG AND TOAD are best friends who live in a quiet, close-knit community. They have a lot in common, like going for walks and playing checkers, but they also have a lot of differences. Frog (voiced by Nat Faxon) likes exciting adventures, and Toad (Kevin Michael Richardson) likes staying at home. Toad likes writing things in his notebook, and Frog likes visual observations. One is impulsive, while one is a critical thinker. They embrace each other's differences and unique qualities, which is the beauty of their friendship. Frog and Toad are kind and loyal to all their friends and neighbors. As they embark on adventures together, they express their care for each other and those around them, always remembering the importance of clear communication.
Is It Any Good?
Fans of the original book series won't be disappointed by this animated adaptation. Frog and Toad makes the title characters just as charming as they were 50 years ago. The show has straightforward storylines, which are easy for young viewers to follow. The color palette is muted, which mimics the books, and the stories move at a slower pace so nothing is missed. Frog and Toad imparts important messages about lasting friendship, communication, and embracing differences.
