Flawed characters try to figure out teamwork. Violence includes slapping someone across the face. Expect some steamy scenes, passionate making out, semi-nudity, and scenes alluding to sex. Romantic relationships and marriage are emphasized. Some mild language ("asshole") is uttered. Characters frequently drink socially and smoke; some act out while intoxicated. It has a lot of genre in it. Such as, suspense, rom- VERY com, informational, kind of sci-fi, sad and has a few sprinkles of cringe. It is a 1000/10 coming from me a person who gets bored easily. The beginning may be kind of slow and boring due to the whole weather thing but as you GO ON!! it is so good so much drama.
What's the Story?
Not everything can be predicted in FORECASTING LOVE & WEATHER. Jin Ha-Kyung (Park Min-young) has it all: a stable job at the Korea Meteorological Administration, a steady relationship, and a steadfast mother and sister at her side. She's even planning to marry her boyfriend, Han Gijun (Yoon Park) ... that is, until chaos strikes. Now Jin has to navigate heartbreak while navigating pressures at work and a mother who is seething. It may be her job to anticipate the weather, but can she forecast what will happen when the intuitive and perky Lee Shi-woo (Song Kang) starts raising the temperature?
The premise is unique, and when weather talk starts, it can be a little dense, but it balances out the romance and drama in the show. The degree of melodrama in the plot sways back and forth, much like the temperature in Forecasting Love & Weather. Viewers will find themselves cooing at the romance, laughing at the antics, gasping at witty dialogue, and being a little confused yet simultaneously stressed when there's a 5% chance of hail.
This show is a light, cozy, cute, and fun watch. It perfectly mixes the weight of a serious procedural show and the lighthearted nature of a romcom. Park Min-young does a fantastic job portraying austere Jin, and Song Kang beams chemistry and charisma in every scene he's in as Lee. It's suitable for young teens, but parents will have to keep an eye out for the steamier scenes.
