Intelligent, Well Written Noir Batman Series

It's interesting really. Batman: The Animated Series has been considered the definitive animated version of the dark knight on screen for the last 2 decades, and rightfully so. The characters are portrayed very faithfully upwards from their comic book counterparts. Batman: Caped Crusader is different. Different in a lot of ways. Characters differ strongly from their comic book counterparts (They Gender swapped the penguin from Oswald Cobblepot to Oswalda Cobblepot). But most of these changes work for the better and make the show seem novel and fresh for newcomers to approach. The story is intelligent and gripping, the characters are dynamic, the animation strikes just the right balance between nostalgic and modern. If as parents, you're worried about violence and graphic content, then you really shouldn't be concerned here. Caped Crusader leaves most of its violence to be inferred by the discerning viewer. As far as sexual content goes, there's virtually nothing to be worried about.

Mature but Excellent

Has a more mature story, but good messages and role models. Be prepared for violence and sexual references, but nothing big. Should be fine for older kids or fans of the original series. Maybe as good as X-Men 97'. A lot of representation and diversity.

Just watch BTAS

I watched maybe ten minutes and had to shut it off. Parents, you want good Batman television, with positive messaging that doesn’t involve completely changing beloved characters for some adult(ish) spin off. Watch Batman The Animated Series. Not this bull. I still watch it and it’s just as good as when I was a kid. Just read the positive message review, half the characters are race swapped, gender swapped, or have had their body type changed. They completely neglect good black characters and good female characters. Why not make a show on the Batman of New York? The day Hollywood has an original, good, idea is the day the world ends.
