Great show (please read the full review for more information.)
Avatar: The Last Airbender (aka ATLA)
In the show, people can bend one or none of the four elements, water, earth, fire, and air Except for the avatar they can bend all four of the elements. Along with bending the elements, there are four nations that correspond with the elements. The show centers around the avatar and their companions while the avatar tries to learn all four elements.
The villains of the show are the Fire Nation They started a war one hundred years ago and it still is going on. The show’s main characters are Sokka (southern Water Tribe), Katara (southern Water Tribe), Aang (Air Nation) Toph (Earth Nation.), Zuko (Fire Nation), and Iroh (Fire Nation)
My personal connections are I got the DVDs of it for Christmas, I watched it five times over Quarantine, it’s my favorite show, and I have a plushie of one of the characters. I have a few of the graphic novels, I have read the two novels of one of the past Avatars, and I have watched the sequel of the show.
I recommend it to people who like magical powers, feel good, action, and animated shows
It would be good for ages eight and up and if you don’t like creepy stuff you should skip the episode “Puppetmaster” in season three.
Overall a great show. Thank you for reading my review.

Great Series (Highly Recommended)
Honestly Avatar: The Last Airbender (ATLA) is a very nice cartoon and is appropriate for all ages in my opinion. This show has a wonderful story and is immensely interesting. I watched this when I was younger and recently finished the series again. This show also expresses great diversity and also implies that people with disabilities can also be respected heroes such as Toph Beifong an earthbender who is confident in herself even though she is blind. A very interesting yet surprising part in this series is Zuko's Arc. Zuko has an amazing story ending very surprising and interesting. Also one role model in this series in my opinion would be Uncle Iroh, General Iroh is a very wise old man that teaches you to find the good in you like how he informed Zuko indirectly that what he's doing is wrong and impressing the fire lord has no value. Zuko and Iroh are one of the best and most inspirational characters in my opinion. If you want to continue watching the avatar series I would recommend The Legend of Korra (LoK) to you as it has a similar vibe although Aang's series would be considered a bit better in my opinion. I always wanted to know what happened after Avatar Aang defeated the fire lord. And recently Avatar Studio officially announced that they are making a new series or movie (not really sure) but it will be based on Aang and the Avatar team's life after balance is granted to the world. The Avatar team is made up with the following members: Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph and Zuko. The new series is about their adult lives and is scheduled to be released late 2024 or 2025 (almost 20 years later). After some brief research it is the life of Team Avatar and the new world. It is planned to be approx. 20 years after Aang took down the fire lord and restored balance to the world and Avatar Studio states Aang will be 22, Toph (22), Katara (24), Sokka (26) and Zuko (27). Thats all I would say and would definitely recommend this to anyone who is willing to enjoy a nice story with plenty of episode + an official announcement of a continuation of the Avatar Aang/ Team Avatar series. Also don't forget to continue the series with (LoK) until the continuation is released. Since both ATLA and LoK are completed Avatar Studios also recently stated that in 2025 or 2027 (not completely sure) they will release a new avatar series based on a earth avatar (following the cycle) named Jimu Jimu. Thats all I would say and would definitely recommend this to anyone who is willing to enjoy a nice story with plenty of episode + an official announcement of a continuation of the Avatar Aang/ Team Avatar series. Thank you!

LITERALLY MY FAVORITE SHOW EVER!!!
This show is so amazing it was a great watch the story is so well written. There is no bloodshed but there is fighting and minor violence. The only reason I put 7 and up is because I think any younger wouldn’t know what is going on, so it is not because of violence. I watched it when I was 12 and I am 13 now. My older cousins who are 15 and 20 recommend it to me. This show has some educational value about culture and friendship and loyalty. The characters are lovable. There is flirting and kissing. For example Sokka and Suki kiss, and Aang and Katara kiss on the cheek about 3 times and lips about 3 times. SPOILER ALERT: Aang and Katara share a passionate kiss in the finale.

Some things kids dont notice (katara skinny dipping, dead bodies...)
So if your a kid watching this you don't notice crap, but if your a little older you see tiny tidbits of notkid freindly stuff. Such as dead bodies (fire nation soldiers,) gambling, sokkas underwear which is a small white cloth wrapped around his waist with another cloth hanging down to cover up his thing, last but not least there is one scene in season four where sokka and toph are talking on a cliff and you see that katara is listening in from the water below. Katara dont got no clothes on... her usually bathing clothes cover her shoulders but in this you see nothing. Katara is skinny dipping.

Great show with many messages and entertainment value, be prepared to discuss more mature topics.
*SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW*
I really enjoy watching Avatar: The Last Airbender! It is one of the few shows that my 17-year-old sister, me, and my 8-year-old brother can agree on. There is a lot of humor, action, and drama. The character arcs are thought-provoking and exciting. Diversity is strongly encouraged, with many different ethnicities, religions, and disabilities depicted and respected. Several feminine characters (Katara, Suki, Toph, and Azula) take the stage and are shown overcoming underestimation, sexism from close family members, and harsh prison conditions. They provide great role models, especially a blind girl named Toph who is confident in herself, finds her own way of "seeing", and grows to accept help. A boy named Sokka overcomes feelings of inadequacy, finding his own talents and embracing creativity. I definitely admire the worldbuilding and plot. However, there are a few unsavory bits that need to be forewarned and addressed. The violence level is moderate, but a major villain has a huge burn scar on his face, inflicted by his father (the context is shown, but not the actual burning). This character does grow to accept that people care about him and turns to find his own destiny, leaving behind his anger issues, violence, and paranoia. This doesn't happen for several seasons, and while he is portrayed as an antihero and the main character's dark mirror, Zuko steals from, fights, and disrespects several people before finding the light. There are a few instances of awkward romantic instances, two that I remember. An old man flirts with and crushes on a 16-ish tracker/smuggler, but this only lasts one episode and doesn't get serious. At one point, Zuko wishes to talk to Sokka in his tent, and his girlfriend is waiting outside and looks extremely uncomfortable about Zuko seeing her waiting. Zuko is extremely awkward and doesn't notice, going into the tent. He finds Sokka lying down in a tent with candles lit and a flirty smile, then realizing that it is Zuko and not his girlfriend, he immediately goes OH! and sits up. This flies over Zuko's head and isn't addressed, but you might need to be prepared to talk about that scene with your children. Other distressing topics such as murder (only hinted at), war, genocide, bounty hunting, abuse, and psychotic characters are present. *** IMPORTANT: Characters dying is NEVER shown, only hinted at and given the context. *** This adds up to the fear level of Star Wars. My 8-year-old, highly sensitive, brother hasn't been bothered, so it's not quite as bad as it sounds. These are brought up in a mostly light way so that the characters can learn how to overcome these obstacles (helping viewers to learn ethics, perseverance, etc.), but I think ages 8-10 should only watch this with an older sibling or adult. Overall, a great, ethics-encouraging, funny, and entertaining show!

This is not a kids show
This is a wonderful show that has to be in at least in 20 my favorites. But this in no way a kids show yes all the main charcters are kids yes they all are sypathetic and good charcters but this is a world full of so much dark stuff there are scenes of abuse, torture, sure they keep action minimal and not showing that much actual that much violence but the fact is in one of the early episodes we learn the complete tragic turth that the main charcters freinds and faimly where all murdered in an genocidal act from the violent fire nation all of this ripped away my innocence as a 2 year child and i know now everything i would never ever ever ever show this episode to a kid scratch that this entire seires is littered with awful awful events yes this show also has other stuff they do say a couple swear words nothing to bad but it happens there are also adult jokes littered through out this is just like any other kids show but you know what this show has that not even the darkest kids shows have they make you want to ball your eyes out at stuff that even some R rated moives dont show you know what no kid under the age of 45 should watch this show
p.s. this is mostly talking about episode se.1 ep.3 any other episode outside of this not accounted for.

hmmmmmmm
I started watching this show thinking it was based on a Chinese legend, it wasn't, but the show was good
Suggestive themes:
I'd say there's a little bit of suggestive talk but not much, i'd say the episode where the main villans go to the beach was a little inappropriate (as beach episodes are) but not much.
Violence:
enough to make me rate the show 7+
Language:
nothing out of the ordinary
Overall the show is good including it's sequel, legend of korra

Creepy
It is bad. People make weird faces and it not funny those faces are disturbing. The characters are lame and I don’t like it it is incredibly overrated. At the end Aang and Katara kiss it makes no sense because Aang is all powerful and is a very important person and Katara only found him by coincidence. The fights aren’t the most epic and The Series Finale, Sozin’s Comet is not that great as comets shouldn’t bring power to people it should flatten them.
It is just weird in a bad way.

I can't say how much this show is amazing, but sugar-coating its content won't help in a age rating review
Some small spoilers ahead~
Seriously, there are so many comments saying a 2-year-old could watch it, I think they take this website as a joke.
It is incredible but it's not for kids, there's no way a show that shows a character getting high on-screen is safe for young toddlers. So to say, there are inappropriate jokes, kisses, romantic scenes, mild to intense violence, psychological themes, and bad role models too;
It teaches valuable lessons but there are so many intense scenes, be it in battles or emotional moments. Since it's greatly well written, the characters have so many dimensions and personal struggles, and as expected, most of the time they aren't suited for sensible people.
Have your judgment on the matter, if you or your kid want to watch it, keep in mind that every person is different and so is our capability to handle forms of entertainment.
