For two members of BTS in this show, traveling the East Coast of the U.S. opens their eyes to new experiences. On a hike, Jung Kook says he's never seen a wild mushroom before, while Jimin runs to a tall tree to measure himself in comparison. They use English to order food and drink, while recording every moment.

Positive Role Models
a little
BTS members Jimin and Jung Kook are kind to each other, caring, and loyal. They have respect for the places they visit, and are friendly with the people who live there.
Diverse Representations
a little
This show features two members of the South Korean boy band BTS. Not many other people are featured, except those who are helping them (restaurant workers, kayak rental workers).
Parents need to know that Are You Sure? is a reality show starring two members of the South Korean pop band BTS, Jung Kook and Jimin, who film themselves while they travel together before they begin their military service. They drink beer on a few occasions, go shopping (no brands are shown), eat American food, and take tame adventures. A single by Jung Kook called "Seven" is played several times. Communication and gratitude are skills the pop stars exhibit in this show. Infrequent use of language includes "hell," "damn." The show is in Korean, available with English subtitles.
This show is easy going and relaxing, if you like BTS members in particular Jimin and Jungkook it's a rare peek into their friendship dynamic when not on stage performing. I loved it .. it almost made them seem more human. It's NOT a variety show... It's a travel vlog, so adjust your expectations accordingly as you witness specifically what Jimin and JK enjoy doing which is talking, eating and some other fun activities. I would recommend-it's an easy watch with two of my favorite people
What's the Story?
Before they head to their mandatory military service in their home country of South Korea, BTS members Jimin and Jung Kook get together to take a road trip in the U.S. in the reality series ARE YOU SURE? They kayak, they camp, they hike, and cook together. They also carry cameras just about everywhere so their audience can join in on the fun. Will they return to their city lives without a scratch?
Little more than home movies for their fans, BTS members Jimin and Jung Kook go on a mini road trip in this reality show. Are You Sure? feels like a social media binge-- there are sound bites and small intimacies aimed to intrigue viewers (Jimin gets a stomach bug; they share a platonic bed at a campground). Plot? There is none.
Providing footage for a hungry fan base, whose beloved pop stars are about to undergo their mandatory military service, there are some sweet moments between these band members who are friends. But newbies to BTS won't likely be very moved by this series.
