This positive, energetic series features singers and bands from across the country performing different genres of music for kudos and national exposure. Many of the singers are up-and-coming, and some are enjoying success in their own states, territories, and even abroad. Adding to the mix are some internationally well-known singers representing their states, including Connecticut's Michael Bolton and and Alaska's Jewel. Adding to the fun is the fact that a lot of singers challenge stereotypes about different states, and the people who live there, as they highlight how their music is inspired by, and infused with, a diverse range of cultural traditions and experiences. Regardless of what state you're from, or who you are rooting for, American Song Contest offers lots of fun and lively performances that will keep you entertained.
