What's the Story?

AMBER BROWN takes viewers into the world of 11-year-old Amber Brown (Carsyn Rose), who's having a hard time with just about everything. She's dealing with her best friend moving to a new state, right before she's set to start middle school. As if that wasn't enough, she's also struggling with her parents' divorce, a cross-continental relationship with her dad, and her mom dating someone new. That's a lot for anyone to handle! Luckily, Amber has her video diary, her sketchpad, and her new neighbor Brandi (Liliana Inouye) to help her along the way. How will Amber cope with all the challenging things life is throwing her way? Will she find answers to the difficult questions she asks herself?

This warm and empathetic show is a must-see for the whole family. Kids and caregivers alike can learn and grow from watching Amber Brown. It addresses serious subject matter with care and consideration, in ways that younger kids can process and that older audiences will be moved by. Amber's journey from frustration and confusion to love and gratitude is inspiring. The characters' stories are compelling because the characters make relatable choices based on flawed, but well-intentioned, thoughts. Fans of the original book series will not be disappointed as the diverse cast of characters comes alive on-screen.
