What's the Story?
In ALL IN WITH CAM NEWTON, NFL great Cam Newton inspires and helps mentor kids to work toward their dreams. From sitting in on an aspiring singer's tutoring session with a Broadway star to tagging along as a young reptile enthusiast films his first webcast, Newton lends support and encouragement as experts help guide these young prodigies in their chosen fields. Each episode follows Newton's interactions with two special kids who take big strides toward their life goals with his help.
Is It Any Good?
Newton's enthusiasm is infectious in this jovial series that celebrates kids and their passions. Had football not panned out, he might have considered a career in TV, he's so comfortable hamming it up in front of the camera. Even so, he never dominates the limelight; rather he keeps the ball rolling and never misses an opportunity to turn attention back to his young charge for the day. And speaking of those charges, though their interests run the gamut from basketball to biking, their desire to learn and achieve is consistent throughout. Newton easily settles into the cheerleading role, handing over the nuts-and-bolts mentoring responsibilities to the experts he brings in but sticking close to immerse himself in the action and offer support -- and comic relief.
In addition to its entertainment and inspirational value, All in with Cam Newton also teaches viewers a thing or two about the kids' different interests. Curious about snake behavior or wondering how the pros overcome stage fright? These kids and their mentors can teach you that. These are amazing, accomplished, and motivated kids, and watching their drive to achieve could inspire a similar impulse in your kids, whatever their interests.
