Boring violent story of the control freak Rabbit

I was highly disappointed in this movie. It’s less about Spring and Easter and more about misdirected anger and violence of the control freak Rabbit, whose tantrum which involved hitting, yelling and aggressively throwing the other characters frightened my toddler. We tried watching it through to see a resolution after explaining to our child that everyone has rough moments and sometimes makes bad choices with their emotions but, when 10 minutes later the resolution still hadn’t come, we called it quits. As an adult I was bored and as a parent I was upset. I will no longer trust Common Sense Media as they’re description of this movie is inaccurate. It says no violence but it is blatantly violent!!

Why so angry?

This was not a good fit for us. Rabbit was so angry and bitter throughout the majority of the film. His friends are made to think his behavior is their fault. Even when he became remorseful of his behavior he was still very rude to his “friends”.

WINNIE THE POOH: SPRINGTIME WITH ROO is harmless, colorful, and cute, with some songs and some silliness and some moments designed to tug your heartstrings. Ultimately how much you enjoy this story will depend on how you feel about Easter and how you feel about the Disney version of Pooh. If you love them both, this is a winner. If you're an A.A. Milne fan, you might be happier re-reading one of the books.
