Just… why?

I’m normally pretty lenient on most tv but this was just downright evil. They made the man get pregnant, sweet little Toby dies, and they basically erase the whole Trollhunters timeline. All the hardship that everyone had to face all those sacrifices for basically nothing. No real moral present besides maybe… errr… feel bad cause your not cool? Then the repetitive “the power was inside me the whooolllle time” plot which I’ve seen a million times. Including, the new modern moral of the story “men can get pregnant too” which makes no sense… hello biology? Also they changed the words of the amulet from “to the honor of Merlin” to “for the good of all” to be more “inclusive” I guess. The movie has no point to it and doesn’t sit well with me I actually feel sick after watching it because it was so awful. Please someone get one of those mind erase things from a Sci-Fi tv series, I need one.

THIS MOVIE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

This movie sucked. The shows were great, friendship and monster hunting, I mean, what's not to like? Then Netflix came out with the movie. I watched it almost immediately because I loved the show so I thought the movie would be like it. I have never been so wrong. It follows the events of Wizards, with the whole Tales of Arcadia gang. First off they kill Strickler for no reason. He sacrifices himself when he tries to stop the ice titan, News flash, it doesn't work. Then they kill Nomura and Nari, again for no reason. Then to top it all off, They kill Toby!!!!!!!!!!! Toby, the main character's best friend, and the character we've grown to love dies. Then in the end Toby, no offense to him, becomes the Troll Hunter! I despised this movie. DO NOT WATCH.

Ok but yes the ending is questionable

The series finale movie was ok. SPOILER BELOW: The whole fact Jim wanted to change history. Well this alternate history of Toby becoming the new Trollhunter could be a good thing or a bad thing. Jim may have his past memories. But like most previous time travel stories. Things could go far worse. And what about the siblings Aja Tarron, and Krel Tarron? If this timeline affect them as well since they were on Earth during the battle with the Titans. Then there home planet will again be invaded again. The whole trauma they endured will happen again. This alternate timestream is confusing. Oh and I guess alien tech has very little affect on magic. Apples vs. oranges lol.

Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans

SPOILER ALERT!!! I think this movie is great and is a good ending to the series. However, I don't like the actual ending in the movie. This is because Toby dies and becomes the Trollhunter. This ruins the whole film which is why I do not give it a 5 star rating. Thank you.

I am not counting this movie as canon!

The movie starts off strong but ends extremely weak. WORST ENDING EVER. For someone who instantly fell in love with all the characters across the series, and to only have my time, feelings, and effort thrown back in my face and be pretty much told that it was all for nothing, is just straight-up garbage. Honestly, don't watch the movie if you've followed the characters from the very beginning. I mean, it's equivalent to a Potterhead finding out that it was all just Harry's random dream, and none of the stories actually happened. SERIOUSLY, COME ON. Get better writers.

A disappointing and confusing end to a fantastic series

(22yo older sibling) *spoilers* For a cousin movie night with myself and 9 kids between 6 and 15yo who've all loved ToA we decided to watch Rise of the Titans, starting around 7:00. During the movie I had to explain to four very concerned 6-8yos that THAT very much was not how babies are made, and consistently remind all of the panicked children that it wasn't allowed to be advertised as a family show if a child/teenage character died permanently on screen and/or in a violent way, and that even the adult characters likely wouldn't stay dead. Then the movie ended and all of the children were outright screaming in outrage. The 12yo and one of the 10yos were literally shaking from how upset they are. The 15yo was hysterically laugh sobbing for the following hour. I had to put all of them to bed right afterwards. It was 10:30 before the little kids had calmed down enough to sleep - 14yo brother was laying in bed trying to find fix-it fics on his phone at that point - and midnight before I'd gotten my 15yo cousin calmed down enough to even go into her shared room without waking the little girls. It's been two days and I'm still trying to process what that movie even was, let alone that ending... Good: Fantastic beautiful and moving action scenes that even the littlest kids were cheering in. Characters who were actually given screen time and thought-out story arcs were phenomenal. Bad: Several important characters were sidelined and/or completely forgotten. Several heartbreaking and/or unnecessary character deaths. What the FUZZBUCKETS: Teenage mpreg (due to alien nonsense) over the course of like a weekend at most?!?!? Erasing the entire trilogy of TV shows in the last 5min in a poorly written/explained 'timetravel fix-it'?!?!?

A man gets pregnant and is portrayed actively laboring. Bizarre.

Very strange scene where a man gets pregnant suddenly. It was jarring and even my child recognized it as “inappropriate” (his words, not mine).

Worst ending

The ending was terrible! It ruins everything. What's the point of the series if they were just going to make them non canon?
