FANTASTIC movie, but could be overstimulating for younger kids

This movie was incredible. It has a very in-depth story with many layers and depth. My sons (7 and 4) are huge Spiderman fans and have been excited about this movie for months. My 7 yr old wasn't able to fully follow every part of the story, but he loved it! My 4 yr old has seen "Into the Spiderverse" over and over, so he was thrilled to see the familiar and new characters. The movie is extremely flashy and could be overstimulating and frightening for many kids. I think because my boys were familiar with the style from the first movie, they were able to handle it fine. There are many fight scenes, as you might expect. The villain starts off tame, although his anger and vengeance progresses. The villain actually brings some comedic relief that my kids loved, and that made him less scary. I read that there could be a relationship development between Miles and Gwen, but it was very mild, and at most, tension between the two. There is some language in this movie: "kick his a**", shut up, what the h*ll, shoot, stupid. My husband, two boys, and I all left the movie excited! It really is a fantastic movie that may be one of my top 5 favorites.

Funny, Relatable, and Great music.

Absolutely loved the visuals, the plot may be a bit difficult to follow. Besides that, this is probably going to be the best animated movies of 2023. I was not looking forward to the ending. But I think that it is best that they chose this ending. It build much more hype around the next movie! P.S. The movie was really funny to!

I took my 10, 8, and 4 year olds to see this movie. My 4 year old loves Spider-Man but he's easily scared by movies so I wasn't sure how he would do with this movie, especially since a lot of the reviews suggested that he was way too young and that it was very scary. He was actually fine with it -- I think because a lot of the heavy/dark stuff was simply over his head, the violence is so cartoonish, and the villains often seem a little comical. He was only truly scared in a couple of brief parts. But I could see the movie being upsetting for some kids who are slightly older than him and understand more. Towards the end it gets a little intense in its discussion of parents dying -- I could see some sensitive kids finding that to be a little much. Also it's an overwhelming amout of flashing etc -- if your kid gets easily overstimulated, this is not the movie for him/her! Overall I thought it was a good movie. Fun for parents as well as kids.

Insane! But not for 9 year Olds!

It was awesome! Nothing I hated about the movie. But it's not for 9 year olds and that's for sure. Tons of violent action throughout the entire film but no blood or gore is ever shown. There are two uses of ass one use of hell but the rest is not bad. It's overall not that graphic so 10+is best.

Fun movie but a lot more violent than the first

Very fun and funny movie. Has a lot of comic style violence and a little language. But the main character Miles Morales is in my opinion one of the best main characters that you can have for a movie. The only reason I gave it four stars is because everything in it happens so quickly and the graphics are a bit over the top but because it has a lot of positive messages and it’s not gory I think it deserves a good review.
