Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom

Animated sci-fi fantasy violence. Lots of lasers and gunfire, and ship cannons explode. Powerful blasts from large robot mechs destroy other mechs, ships, and buildings. Human pilots inside mechs burn up, explode, and presumably die when their mechs get hit. Large-scale battle scenes feature soldiers with guns, laser weapons, mechs, cannons, random people fleeing and getting shot and killed. Dead and bloodied bodies litter battlegrounds. Characters are punched, slapped, kicked, and thrown and get shot. People with bombs strapped to their bodies blow up. People are shown skeletally and on fire right before being disintegrated by nukes. Nukes destroy an entire city. Characters sword fight. A man pins a woman to a bed and threatens to take her top off but stops. A woman tries to force herself on a man but he pushes her off him.

Two main characters are openly in love. Characters flirt with each other, talk about romantic relationships and potential partners, and pine for other characters. A woman is briefly shown naked in the shower (no sensitive parts shown), as are two characters standing on a beach (nothing shown) from afar. Romantic kissing.

Language includes "damn," "bastard," "hell," "moron," and "idiot."

The world and story are set in the future, but the cast and characters are Japanese. Characters generally have conventional gender roles, although some women also pilot the giant robot mechs. But the leading roles in this story are men. Queer sexuality is not represented except for a brief suggestion of flirtation between two characters.
