I was not expecting this…

I watched this movie in theaters, and when I heard that it was a Nicolas Cage movie, my expectations were pretty low. I hadn’t heard of the movie and I hadn’t seen any trailers, so I had no clue what to expect. It has some funny moments, but overall, it’s a very dark movie that I didn’t quite understand. Nicolas Cage does a brilliant job at portraying one of the most insane and bizarre horror characters I’ve seen, and although I don’t know any other names of the actors, they also did a very good job. There’s plenty of disturbing images; Nicolas Cage’s character’s appearance is enough for me to get chills, and his behavior is another thing altogether. Plenty of blood. Murders and suicides are described with graphic detail, and there are some satanic references. Not too much sexual content or nudity except for some magazine covers and a woman in semi-revealing lingerie traces a blade over her belly. Language is infrequent but strong, including “F*ck” and “Sh*t”. A couple brief scenes of drinking and smoking, one character smokes a cigarette while driving.

Is it really as scary as they say?

It's more of a comedy than that it can be unsettling in some parts but it's really not as scary as they say still a good plot but no explanation on why he has an obsession with daughters born on a certain day of any month.

The almost birthday girl

This movie was worth it, it has a scary concept and a interesting story, there is lots and I mean lots of blood and gore… a bit of swearing… and Nicolas Cage is terrifying in this… he’s an excellent actor and hope to see him do more stuff like this… really good

very interesting, shot gorgeously.

Oz Perkin’s Longlegs is an incredible film with a haunting score and fantastic sound design. Had me on the edge of my seat for the entire time. there was a fellow down the row who clapped and explained “that was real fucked up!” once the credits rolled. My mother thought the film was strange and weird which I heavily disagreed with. it’s a must see film imo. a lesson in filmmaking.

i LOVE this movie so much!! the only reason I gave it 14+ is because I know a lot of kids my age wouldnt really enjoy it. some parts are very disturbing SPOILERS: longlegs does smash his head on the table at one point resolving into him having a bloody messed up face so if you don’t like blood maybe cover your eyes. the film is quite satanic though so if that bothers you maybe don’t watch this movie!!

More thrilling than scary ( no gore only blood)

This movie had some very effective jumpscares but when it comes to something that can actually traumatize a kid there's only a few scenes that could impact the kid negatively. There is blood some gore but the overall scare factor isn't the best.

Good movie, wish it was scarier

It's wasn't scary at all, just quite funny. Unless you can't stomach a little bit of devil worship, don't worry parents it isn't seen in a positive light the only ones who use it are the killers. The only thing I thought was definitely R-rated is when the serial killer kills himself with a desk. All other deaths are mild or off screen.
