Expect the Unexpected

This movie was really good, but not my favorite. The first five minutes of the movie is the worst, content wise. The main character is basically just sleeping around and we see him in bed with several women, although nothing more than kissing is shown. If you make it past that, the only other content concerns are occasional cussing, a lesbian couple, minor violence meant to be funny (the main character is a stuntman), and occasional sexual comments. The movie has a lot of unexpected twists that you won’t see coming. I was enjoying this movie until the very end. It was a good ending, just very unexpected and sad. I was a little mad at it for ending that way. The movie ends up having lots of good messages and positive role models, once you get past the first 5 minutes. Overall, it’s a very good, funny, unexpected, and sad movie.

Great astonishing and Devastating comedy drama about loving father.

Instructions not Included is a 2015 Mexican Comedy-Drama about a man who goes from woman to woman just having affairs and cheating, but one woman comes back and gives him a baby, he has no idea how to take care of one especially because he is broke. But while in America looking for the woman he saves the baby from drowning and instantly falls in love with her, and film director notices his extraordinary braveness and hires him as a stuntman. A few years go by and the girls mother rings back after 6 years and want to see her daughter. LANGUAGE: 3/5 F**k is used a couple times ("hey can you shut the f**k up for a minute!", "What the F**k", "Get out of my F**king house", etc), other language like "S**t", "Bulls**t", "Asshole", "Asshat", "Bitch", "ass", "Bastard", "Dick", "Hell", "Damn", etc. SEX: 3/5 the first half of the film includes bed hopping, making out, women in bras and panties, implied threesomes and just right out sex. Sex jokes about "unclogging my pipe", "Fiddling with it", "tits", "you have big boobies", etc. overall it’s pretty mild if you don’t count the first half of the movie. VIOLENCE: 2/5 some potentially upsetting scenes about death and loss near the end, The dad is thrown of a cliff as a kid and locked in a shed filled with wolves. The dad is a stunt man meaning there are many slapstick scenes with injuries, but no blood, like falling from great heights, being tossed against a brick wall. Frequent shots of snarling wolves indicating that the main character is afraid of wolves. A baby almost drowns. A little girl is teased and bullied by peers and gets into a fight, resulting a black eye. Drinking drugs and smoking: 1/5 social drinking among friends and peers. Positive messages and role models: 4/5 very good message of be yourself and be close to the ones you love and cherish those moments. Unconditional love for one. One of the main themes is coping with fear. The cast is also highly diverse including Latino, Mexican, black and white cast. Though not really the best role models the dad is caring and loving and willing to give up nothing to have his daughter with him. Cast: "Eugenio Derbez", "Loreto Peralta", "Jessica Lindsey", "Daniel Raymont", "Alessandra Rosaldo", "Karla Souza", "Sammy Pérez", "Agustín Bernal", "Arcelia Ramírez", "Hugo Stiglitz". Director: "Eugenio Derbez" Overall amazing film, tragic yet funny mix, delightful. 13+

Best Latino directed movie

As a Latina it is awesome to see how Eugenio Derbez went from nothing to something. I grew up watching him on tv and yes it might be a little inappropriate but it the funny kind. The scenes on this movie are not extremely therefore it's PG-13. It would be a great movie to watch as it makes you cry and laugh at the same time. I have watched this movie millions of times and I still cry at every little thing. This movie will fill your heart with emotion and reality. Life is not simple for an immigrant because of the language; and I understand Valentin as he goes through this dramatic change in his life.

Exciting but upsetting

At the beginning, it was slightly rude with about 5 short make out scenes. But after, nothing much happens, some cursing. Towards the end, it became very upsetting, making me cry :,)

Sweet tale of a fathers love for his daughter

I had to watch in my Spanish class and ended up loving it. It has some iffy content, but I enjoyed it. Teens should like it and adults will like it more and appreciate the father a love for his daughter. Content: Violence: comedic falls and crashes. Sex: the story revolves around the father and how he is a male slut. He sleeps with multiple women and it is very gross for a man to do this. There is sexual innuendo about a guy working on a girls plumbing. A couple is lesbian and they kiss on the cheek. A man inpregnates a girl and she leaves the baby on his porch. A mans bare butt is briefly glimpsed. Language: a mouthed "what the f**k". Uses of s**t, b*tch, crap, damn, hell, etc. my rating: PG-13: for thematic material, sexual content and references, strong language, and brief nudity.
