Heartwarming and exciting movie
I love this movie so much and I think its ok for anyone 9+. There are so many great messages in this movie like family above all, hard work pays off, and immigration is not a bad thing. There are some sexual references such as showing that they sell condoms at the bodega but most people under 11 will not understand/notice. Some minor swears and a couple s**ts but nothing that bad. As a Hispanic American this movie just warms my heart and I believe anyone (9+) should watch this movie.

Love it!
Beautiful! I'm a huge fan of the musical and while it isnt the most faithful adaptation I adore this movie.
Its filled with music, comedy, fun and life while also tackling real-world problems.
I watched it with my younger siblings and my sister (8) loved it!
There are a bit of innuendos and a little swearing but all the innuendo flew over my sister and brothers heads.

GREAT!
This movie is great. Lots of singing, dancing, and while some inappropriate references are made, it's really not that bad because it's nothing an 11 year old doesn't already know about. There's some swearing, but nothing I hadn't heard before when I watched this at 11, and your kid has probably heard most if not all of the cuss words in this musical already.
Also the musical numbers are absolutely great, sometimes I just listen to the soundtrack for fun because there are some great songs. I love that the cast is Latinx, too.

Great Movie (Defo worth the £15)
GREAT MOVIE ! I loved hamilton and thought to try this out, has great messages about following the set out path isn't always right. no violence. young adults drink but are never drunk. frequent use of sh*t and some a*s. quite a lot of sex references, I will list them : Salon lady's gossip about sex A LOT, Daniela says that Benny and Nina "went for a roll in the hay" in a song. Usnavi is shown selling condoms in the opening song. The character Cuca is generally trying to be dodgy (thinking Nina dropped out because "she has a bun in the oven"). Some sexy dancing in the song 'Carnaval De Barrio'. Shirtless men harass Vanessa as she's walking down a street. there are frequent references to major brands like Coke (characters drink it).

A great, passionate film entertains!
Based on the hit musical by LIN MANUEL MIRANDA, In the heights is a fun tale about dreams, family, loss and love. Even though it earned itself a PG, the language is pretty salty. S**t is included. *SPOILERS AHEAD* *READ AT YOUR OWN RISK*. The film contains a dramatic musical death of one of the main character. She smiles, passes out and her heartbeat stops. Usnavi comes in and shouts to call 911. Some salty sexual references e.g. 'sleep with', 'have sex with' ext. But, the film results in being one of 2021's best films.

Wonderful movie, just wait to show your kids.
I really like the movie! It was a wonderful message about representation and community in Washington Heights! Though, As much as I hate to say it, there were some parts that were suggestive (The part is just a bunch of salon ladies gossiping). The songs were awesome, but some from the original musical were left out which made me a little sad. There were a lot more swear words than I expected, and a heart-breaking death. Overall, you should definitely watch this movie, I would just let your kids go to bed or play in a different room while you watch. Once they are old enough, they will be singing along with you! Hope this helps!

I love In The Heights. One of the best Broadway musicals of all time. This movie? Not so much.
Anthony Ramos was perfect and amazing, but aside from him, the movie messed up the musical and was altogether just trying too hard.
It was just cringey most of the time. And it was nothing like the original stage version, which was a real pity
But the music was unbelievable as usual.
