This movie bettered me as a human watch it perhaps it will do the same for you

I remember the first time i saw this it was the end of fifth grade and my class was voting on a movie to watch it was between Shrek and how to train your dragon i was the deciding vote and i chose the latter i do not regret my decision. The movie starts off fast paced a tad scary for younger viewers but nothing to much as we are shown what life is like on berk the home of hiccup the protagonist. I will not say anymore on the plot of the movie as it should be experienced for the first time without any prior knowledge. But what I will say is that the voice acting is beautiful and authentic this is due to the fact that during the making of the movie they managed to have the voice actors in the same room allowing them to adjust to and bounce off each other not to mention the amazing talent they hired, the score tops that of all other movies ever made accenting the visuals in perfect harmony creating a masterpiece that brings tears of joy to the faces of even the most hardened men and women. And of course the message the movie sends that no matter who you are no matter what you whish to do even if seems insane you can achieve greatness as long as you give your 110%. I remember the version of me that walked into class that morning a me that was unsure, insecure, and felt unworthy of the things life had given them, but when I left for home that day I had been enlightened I realized that no matter what the nay-sayers said I could achieve my dreams and beyond. In short to give this movie a rating below that maximum possible is to condemn life itself. So I sit here better than what I once was and I say to whatever great force that controls this universe we live in "thanks for the movie it sure was good"

PLEASE BRING TOOTHLESS BACK!!!!!!!!

i am absolutely descuted by the fact that you killed off the truly loved character known as Toothless in the movie How to train your dragon homecoming, and honestly think that you need to bring him back to life and make him and his family fully immortal in the next movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 star only because itĀ“s the closest i can get to 0 stars!!!!!!! also killing off toothless is 1000,000,000 steps way too far and has ruined the entire movie series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never gets old!! ā¤ļøšŸ¤©

I fell in love with How to Train Your Dragon at first sight. I watched it when i was around 9 years and have seen it close to 20 times since. HTTYD is a fantasy film with inspiration from the series by Cressida Cowell. (If youā€™re looking for an exactish book - movie this isnā€™t it) This movie is beautifully animated and there are positive role models in wonderfully created characters. It is well thought out and rounded with a satisfying ending but still leaving you wanting a bit more. (I definitely recommend the other movies too!) I put 8+ simply because there are a few parts that younger children just might not understand. Some cute flirting but also mentions of dead parents and disowning. Hiccup is a bit of an unusual character in that heā€™s weak. He doesnā€™t have anything going his way and has a difficult time with both the family and the friend department. But, he wants to change that so what he decides to do is catch an incredibly rare dragon. Though scrawny Hiccup is very smart, something not valued enough in the viking world, and this is one of the things that rescues all the vikings time and time again. We can see Hiccupā€™s character development and the conclusion eluded to that violence is not the answer. Another positive is how some of the strongest, smartest and most powerful characters in the movie are women. The movie is face paced yet easy to follow. It does have some intense and scary, for younger children, scenes but the worst in my opinion is a scene where Hiccups father disowns him. The ending is very good and though a bit sad, as they have suffered loses, overall hopeful and positive. Hiccup changed the viking world for the better and continues doing so it the 5/5 two movies that follow. This movie has been a comfort for me in some dark times and it has truly made me a better person. I looked up to these characters as a little child and do even now. I was there when they came out and iā€™m here to see their legacy live on in new generations!!

This movie was really entertaining even watching it again as a teen. I find that Hiccup is a great role model for kids for standing up for what is right and helping those who need it. This movie is also about finding yourself.

One of the most entertaining animated movies ever

This movie has plenty to offer.its one of my families classic movies. Characters, plot, cast, morals this film is a work of excellence. I put too much sex because the 4 year olds watching wonā€™t understand it at all. A giant recommend. PG movies can be good too!
