good movie

It was good.. not the best movie i’ve seen but it was worth the money. Some reviews are overreacting tbh the movie isn’t inappropriate it just has some swearing and a few sexual jokes which young kids shouldn’t even understand. Talks about imperialism, colonialism and some other political things. Not too violent. My 8 yr old brother watched it and was completely fine so any child 7 or up should be ok to watch this. I laughed so hard when Jaime started growling bc he was angry tho😭😭😭

A bunch of overused cliches

I like the Blue beetle super hero and the DC universe in general. But this movie was a mix of every overused cliche. It was the graphics and cgi of spy kids without the nostalgia. A lot of the scenes looked like they were just scenes from different movies with just an overlay of the characters into this one. It movie disappointed me so much to the point where I made a CommonSenseMedia account just to leave a one star review.

Didn't like it. Saw it on the plane back from Colorado during Christmas of 2023. Gave up before a quarter of the movie. Characters were just talking too much the entire time, and the plot wasn't good either. Just annoying to watch, doesn't have much of a point. The movie just feels really weird and even a slight bit silly. Also, more swearing than I anticipated. Heard reviews that it was even DCEU's worst movie. I'll give it a small to moderate amount of credit with the cool suit and some mildly appealing action, but overall, not a good film.

Awesome Movie. Why do people hate this movie? Its my top 10 def.

I walked into the cinema thinking this movie would be bad. I had heard so many reviews like, “It ruined the new DC universe!” “Horrible movie.” etcc.. But honestly, it was incredible. The plot, the acting, the role models and the messages where amazing. It gave off the same vibe as Black Adam. As a family, in a crappy car, the son finds something priceless, and it ends up having/ creating the protagonist. Although, the blue beetle was very incredibly made and I felt it was a great movie!

Fun superhero flick has violence.

The movie has violence, including super-powered characters punching, kicking, and using energy blasts against soldiers and other super-powered beings. There is brief sight of blood when blood splatters onto a window as a result of a character being killed (presumably impaled from behind). There is language, including frequent use of "shit" and "ass". There are sexual references, including a joke about an erection, and jokes about something going up somebody's rear end. Overall: 10+ for sequences of sci-fi action/violence, brief bloody images, language throughout, and some suggestive references.
