Great family movie!
A Million Miles Away is a great family movie with messages of determination and perseverance! My kids ages 9, 12, and 16 all enjoyed it. It has a few bad words, but other than that, it is appropriate for ages 9 and above. It is inspiring and you will all be cheering for Jose Hernandez!

Absolutely inspiring!
This movie is based on a true story. It depicts a real journey of a latin immigrant to US, covering his his childhood to his late 40s probably the most realistic way to show young people what success need. A lot of hard working and perseverance is needed to achieve your dreams. If it would be easy anyone could do it.. that kind of message. It is a very inspiring story specially for minorities. We loved the characters and the story. It is definitely a great movie if you are not against migrants.

An inspiring and motivational movie! A must to watch.
I thought this was an inspirational and touching movie, especially given the fact that my paternal great-grandparents were migrant workers in California, and my sister and I are physicians. It was motivational and inspiring for any one of any race, color or gender with dreams of a future. It’s a story of determination, hard work and humility, and I love the message of the importance of family and sacrifice. You’ll be cheering for Jose like we were. I highly recommend this movie! I can’t wait for my parents to watch it.

Inspirational family movie
Great movie. Jose has an amazing work ethic and perseverance. His wife is supportive and encouraging. The extended family are shown as a close knit family. They help and make sacrifices for one another. There is some swearing (more in Spanish than English), and some drinking. Definitely worth watching.

A great family values inspirational movie
This was a great movie showing the value of hard work and determination. It had great portrayals of a loving family and a loving supportive marriage. No iffy content. Your whole family could watch this but I think it would be most interesting to older tweens and teens.
