Parents need to know that Ra Ra Boom is an upcoming side-scrolling action/adventure game for Windows PCs. The gameplay is inspired by classic arcade beat 'em ups, and is set in the near future, where Earth has been abandoned after a rogue AI has decided to kill everyone on the planet. Players take on the role of one of four cheerleader ninjas that have spent their entire lives training and working aboard Space Station 26, a base orbiting the planet. One day, their station is attacked, and the ladies are forced to abandon their home, suffering tragic losses of dear friends along the way. Their only hope: heading to a world they've never known, to discover what actually happened on Earth, and if things are as dire as they've always been told. Each character has a set of light, heavy, and special attacks that can be used to eliminate enemies, and during multiplayer matches, these attacks can be chained and combined to create effective strikes against foes. Successful strikes will knock scrap and other materials into the environment, which can be gathered and redeemed as specific checkpoints for upgrades to your gear or skills. There will be a mix of fights in environments, chase sequences against the clock, and other game sequences. While combat is the main focus of the gameplay, Ra Ra Boom will also pay attention to things not traditionally highlighted in these kind of action titles, such as the grief and loss that each character feels over the course of the game, and how that affects each character.
