This quick read boasts a short but sweet story and friendly illustrations. The text is written in both English and Spanish and parents can choose which version (or both) to read. Whether kids are familiar with Spanish because it's spoken in their own families or because they watch Dora the Explorer on TV, they will appreciate hearing this lively story in both languages.

Adults may choose the book for its bilingualism while kids may pull it off the shelf for the story. There's little to the plot, but it's a comforting, familiar portrait of a loving family getting ready for the important daily ritual of sitting down together for a meal. This book was conceived to further the My Family/Mi familia series, and it's a nice addition to any family's library for its own sake.
