What's the Story?

It's bedtime, and Kipper can't find his favorite toy! Readers must help the playful pup locate the missing items before he can settle down for the night. Oversize puzzle pieces that fit into brightly colored pages are just right for little hands.

This delightful entry in a series of puzzle books about the exuberant puppy's daily life is specifically designed for toddlers. Brief sentences follow a simple Q&A format, which prompts readers to find the correct piece: "Kipper is getting ready for bed. Where is his favorite toy?" Toddlers readily identify with Kipper's bedtime ritual, which includes favorite childhood activities and objects.

Bright colors and clean lines dominate the uncomplicated drawings. The sturdy puzzle pieces are easy to handle, while the one-of-a-kind openings guarantee a perfect fit for the correct piece only. Of course, children young enough to put the pieces in their mouths should not handle them unsupervised. This is a cozy, interactive tale to help little ones make the transition to their own evening routines.
