Ivy + Bean, Book 1

This book is about a mischevious pair of girls and shouldn't be read to children who try to copy fictional things. Also, the girls are extremely rude to Bean's older sister, Nancy. WARNING! Older siblings, don't read this. It'll give you a headache and make you want to tear the book apart. The book promotes misbehavior and fuels hate towards older siblings. A small sibling rivalry is regular in real life, but this book takes it too far. Young children should not read.

DONT LET YOUR CHILD READ THIS DEMONIC GARBAGE. It contains so much witchcraft.

I first read this in kindergarten it is for kids of all ages I think it is funny and I love ivy I feel I can relate to her in first grade I made my room like hers and pretended to be a witch good book

I read this whole series as a kid. I am now 17 and think it's funny to see what some parents have to say. I was an avid reader and devoured anything I could. My mom didn't really monitor what I read and left it up to me. Some parents say "these girls aren't good role models", but that's just life! I was raised in a Christian household that emphasized respect for my parents and others. I knew these girls didn't do the right think, and could be used as a good example. If we shelter our kids from everything then when do they learn? You can easily look at these characters and say "this is one way we can act, but you can choose to be different". Kids know when things are wrong and can take a bad action as a lesson to act differently!

It is about two girls named Ivy and Bean.

This was a good book for young pre-teens. Ivy aspires to be a witch. Bean calls her sister a tightwad, and the sister is full of herself. Kind of sad.
