Perfect dystopian for teens

I read this book because I heard it was similar to other YA books like The Maze Runner and The Hunger Games, and it is. The exciting plot and the constant sense of mystery make for a thrilling book which grips the reader from the very beginning. Tris, the main character, is relatable in the sense that she struggles with fitting in and knowing where she belongs, much like kids today. Like other dystopian novels, she lives in a messed up society and finds the fate of the world in her hands (as the series goes on). There is a lot of violence, including some detailed deaths, fights between young people and someone getting his eye stabbed out with a butter knife, but that adds to the thrilling story line and it will keep you reading for hours.

Common Sense did not have to be so harsh

THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE READ IN A VERY LONG TIME!!! i stayed up so late just to finish this book and let me tell you, after a year, i'm still obsessed. There are so many role models in this book, quite some violence and quite some romance too! also, not much swearing. the relationship between tris and four made me squeal and scream in every way possible! And there is literally no sex. Veronica Roth is a genius, and she wrote this at 26!

Divergent is the best!

This book was amazing! I totally recommend this to anyone who likes fiction, action, and a little bit of romance! 3 I do want to say that there is violence in it, like shooting and beating people up, and 3 people die, unfortunately, but it is still amazing to read! I keep coming back to it! Four and Tris are so cute together, and they made me love the book even more! This is an amazing book, be sure to read it!

One of my favs, good intro to romance?

This book is one of my favourites being both plot and character driven, really fun and exciting all the way through. It’s action packed and fun. I love tris, we would def be friends in real life. There’s definitely some romance in this book, but I would say it’s a great intro to young romances. It’s wholesome, although sometimes it goes a bit further than I’d like but never over the line. Best of all the romance is a subplot, we love that. Amaz characters and plot! Very good, well rounded book :)

Great book!

It was a great read! Best book out of the series for sure! I normally don’t read dystopian fantasies but this one exceeded my expectations. Pretty clean besides swear words here and there and kiss scenes (they are descriptive kisses but they are JUST kisses) there is some adult terms said in the book but a mature 12 year old can easily handle it.

I love this book! it is very similar to the Hunger games. It does have quite a bit of violence and blood but if you have read the Hunger games it has like the same amount. It has some kissing [the main character has a boyfriend]. The main character also gets made fun of for her petite size. Great dystopian novel!

Very good book for kids and teens

I'm 12 and I read this book a few months ago!!! My friend and I read it together and both loved it! I know some people are saying that you should read the Hunger Games instead, but I would say to read both! If you enjoyed The Hunger Games this is a great book to read next!

My FAVORITE book ever!

As a teenager it is one of my favorite books i have read. it is dystopian and adventurous with a hint of romance. this is personally my favorite book of the series. i said 12+ just because it has some violence with guns and a bit of language, and a little bit of alcohol, but otherwise it should be good for anyone.
