Engaging artwork explores the beauty of each season, amplifies the text, and offers many details for kids to pore over as they think about each season. Author Ginger Foglesong Guy easily promotes early literacy in two languages though related vocabulary and easy-to-follow text -- great for family storytime. The illustrations in Días y días / Days and Days are mostly on double-page spreads that highlight key events in each season and the big changes that happen throughout the year. The book provides a great conversation starter for little kids just beginning to learn about the world around them. An illustrated glossary at the back of the book presents more bilingual words used to name the clothing we wear during the four seasons.
