What's the Story?

AMIRA'S PICTURE DAY takes readers into the world of Amira, a young girl who's excitedly awaiting the celebration of Eid with her family. With beautiful mehndi (henna design) on her hand and treat bags packed, horror strikes her as she realizes that Eid and class picture day are both tomorrow! Without being given an option, she goes to the celebration adorned in her colorful shalwar kameez (tunic over loose pants) and leaves her pink picture day outfit behind. How will this dilemma end? Will Amira be missing from classroom 2B's picture?
