What's the Story?
When a family moves into a new community in ALL ARE NEIGHBORS, the people introduce themselves by celebrating the unique and diverse gifts that each person shares just by being themselves. All families, all races, all genders, all abilities -- all are welcome in this loving, inclusive neighborhood.
Is It Any Good?
This picture book is a wonderful example of how a simple, succinct message can have a powerful impact on readers and reinforce lessons for both children and adults. All Are Neighbors is beautifully illustrated with lots of happy, colorful faces, clothes, and buildings, and is full of reminders that communities are made up of many different kinds of jobs, families, needs, and gifts. The rhythm of the words makes this a great read-aloud book, and it's just right for new readers to dive into for themselves. From message to visuals to warm, inviting tone, this is a gem.
