About Joey Thurmond

Joey is an experienced writer and editor who's covered video games for websites like Push Square, Game Informer, and Love Thy Nerd. He graduated from High Point University with a bachelor's degree in communication, Gardner-Webb University with a master's degree in English, and UCSD with a copy editing certificate. He loves to study game design and theory, the English language, and theology, dabbling in storytelling and videomaking in his spare time. Besides being a living repository of Lego Bionicle and Star Wars lore, he's a lifelong gamer whose favorites include Super Mario Galaxy, The Last Guardian, Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, DOOM Eternal, Pyre, Dead Space 2, and many more.
