About Charles Cassady Jr.

Thanks to movie, TV, and comics imagery, Charles once had the idea that being a reporter might be a passport to an interesting, exciting life. But all that happened was that he got a lot of job turndowns from newspapers and TV and radio enterprises. Then he came across a classified ad seeking a special sort of writer. And thus did he sign his first contract -- to be a movie reviewer, at $1 per review. That’s pretty much what he's been doing ever since. He lives near Cleveland, Ohio, a city that, now that Lebron James has left, must fall back on its other distinction -- some of A Christmas Story was filmed there. Before he found his way to Common Sense Media, Charles also wrote for the VideoHound book series, the CineBooks Motion Picture Guide, TV Guide Online, and the Cleveland Free Times.
