Barbara Saunders's Profile
About Barbara Saunders
Barbara Saunders grew up in a house full of books and a family full of teachers. She came along just in time to be in the original audiences for children’s television classics like Sesame Street and Free to Be You and Me. As a kid, Barbara’s favorite book was William Pène du Bois’ The Twenty-One Balloons, a novel with descriptions and illustrations of incredible inventions. Her first job was as a page in the children’s room of the public library, in a historic Carnegie building. Now she writes descriptions of incredible inventions for technology companies. Barbara is also the author of a middle-grade scholastic book, Ivan Pavlov: Exploring the Mysteries of Behavior. She lives in Berkeley, California, with her piebald terrier, Hannah.
