About Ashley Kemper

Ashley Kemper is a Technology and Media Integrationist at a private school in Brentwood, Tennessee designed specifically for learners with individualized needs. She began her career as a reading specialist and found herself drawn to connecting her middle school students to tools and technology that might bridge the gap between their potential and actual academic performance. Since becoming a member of her schools Library & Technology Department, she has helped manage the schools' 1:1 iPad/laptop program, designed authentic learning opportunities for PK-12 students to both utilize technology and demonstrate core academic knowledge, assisted teachers in incorporating 21st Century Skills within their academic programs, and has begun studying the positive effects of computer programming and coding on language development. Ashley has her Master's in Reading Education from Averett University and a Bachelor's of Science in History from Tennessee Wesleyan College.
