Wild Kratts Baby Buddies

Though the Kratts brothers' enthusiasm for learning about animals is generally contagious, the breadth and user experience for this set of simple games are only OK. The graphics are true to the style of the Wild Kratts TV series, though they end up looking and feeling rather unsophisticated in this app setting. There are a good number of interesting facts about the animals, which helps enhance learning potential and provides some much needed context to the game experience. However, there are only a few games to play with each animal, which means that kids will quickly cycle through everything the app has to offer. By far the biggest downside of Wild Kratts Baby Buddies is that the interactive elements are not at all easy to find. Sometimes tappable elements are highlighted with a glowing yellow-ish aura, but despite that it's quite confusing to know where to tap or what to do. The activity descriptions in the parents section turn out to be indispensable so that parents can help kids navigate and understand what's available to do. There are some nice learning elements to Wild Kratts Baby Buddies, but even Wild Kratts fans may end up feeling a little let-down.
