What's It About?

As in other Temple Run games, you're constantly on the run -- this time from the famous flying monkeys of Oz, but the game tosses in other hurdles, such as biting plants. Swiping the screen from side to side turns corners, while swiping backward or forward causes your character to jump or slide under obstacles. It's not an advanced game, but rather one that tests the player's reflexes. There's also a hot air balloon mode, which lets you control a balloon in the skies over the land by tilting the screen left and right to gain coins.

Is It Any Good?

If you liked Temple Run 2, you're probably going to like Temple Run: Oz. That's because they're essentially the same game. Built on top of the engine for the recently released sequel to the popular franchise, this movie-tie in adds just a few small changes to the formula -- and one mid-sized one with the addition of the hot air balloon sequences.

There's nothing wrong with that, of course. Everything that worked there works here. If you've recently grown tired of Temple Run 2 and were hoping this game presented some new challenges and changes, you may be disappointed. But if you enjoy the earlier games and want to play in a new setting, you'll love it.
