What's It About?
With SESAME STREET GO kids can watch videos featuring their favorite Sesame Street characters as well as a featured clip each week, navigating easily from the start screen filled with large character icons. They can also choose ABCs or 123s or play interactive games for more directed learning. With a parent account, kids can save favorites or go to their viewing history to replay or continue favorites. Parents can also navigate to specific learning areas to find specific content or search by keywords.
Is It Any Good?
An app populated with hilarious clips of Sesame Street characters is a preschooler’s delight, but make it well-curated, browsable, and searchable and you’ll have parents singing of sunny days. The original incarnation of the app required a subscription and played entire episodes, but the newest update canned the full episodes and in-app subscription in favor of free access to all the clips. The main interface is totally kid-friendly with large character icons and themes, but parents can hone in on specific content through the learning areas. And in Sesame Street fashion, the videos are entertaining for the adults watching, too. Though videos can be added to a favorites list, there's no way to create custom playlists, which would make a good thing even better.

Families can watch together and talk about the content of the video clips, including what the characters are doing, thinking, and feeling.
The videos cover a broad range of preschool content, which parents can enhance through reading with kids, involving kids in daily tasks, and talking to kids to develop verbal skills and vocabulary.
