Stupid

I literally have nothing to say. It is a sausage. Sausages contain meat (I'm a vegeterian, but whatever). There is bound to be leftover blood in a sausage. It is not violent or gory. IT IS FOOD.

a entertaining game for my kids

While the grim ends that sausages meet can be violent and gory, this amusing running app is fun to play. The physical logistics of Run Sausage Run! are pretty easy to figure out: You tap and hold to make your sausage run faster, or release your finger to slow it down. You can't easily halt, though, if you're approaching danger, which makes it challenging to get past the potentially fatal roadblocks. Players will likely need to play a few times to test out timing scenarios and come up with a strategy. Users who get frustrated because they aren't advancing may be pleased to find out they get periodic rewards for things other than winning, such as using the app for two consecutive days or dying twice. You don't need more instruction on how to move; that's easy enough to figure out.

But some parts of the game aren't very clear. Some characters you earn, for instance, don't seem to have any special skills -- the zombie and skeleton die just as quickly as the basic sausage you start with. Adding more information about what advantages they offer (even if it's just looking cool) and what happens as you keep playing would help gamers understand what levels, protective gear, and other items they're working toward. Trimming the number of ads, too, would make playing more enjoyable. Without paying to remove them, players will be inundated with commercials after every round or two -- which, no matter how fast your sausage is, really slows the experience down. That aside, if you can deal with the gore and absurdity of running sausages through bloody obstacle courses, Run Sausage Run! could be your next big time waster.
